Great walk
Staying nearby and found the bell and Nara park, totally surprised with the park and what was there. Great for a nice walk with the background of the lake
3,000 people attended this beautiful Peace Bell in its wonderful peaceful setting just on dusk to pay tribute to the 50 victims of the Christchurch Shooting. The bell was rung 50 times, once for each ...
The sound of the bell ringing out Peace is so very special. If you are lucky enough to be here when there is a ringing in progress, ring the bell. A beautiful setting and very moving.
I found it during a tour of Canberra Nara Peace Park. I thought there was a slightly unusual monument a little west of the park, so when I approached it, was it a building with a modern design? There was a bell inside. Personally, the balance between the bell and the building didn't go well.
