Yanchunl: Canberra is a beautiful city with virtually brand new streets and buildings. The bus station from Sydney to Canberra is right next to the Novotel, and it's just a few hundred meters walk to the Crowne Plaza. The hotel facilities are good, with a pool and gym. The room size is smaller than in China but larger than in Japan. The casino is right next to the hotel. I want to specifically talk about the service. When I arrived, they initially gave me a connecting room. Later, they switched me to a twin room. It made me feel like the front desk staff was a tour guide handling a** (rubbish/bad) tour group.

There are no cooking facilities in the room, but they have a restaurant with a breakfast buffet and à la carte dinner. Public amenities include a pool and a sauna (though it was closed when I tried to use it in the evening). The service was friendly and helpful with any issues. Overall, it was great! 😍

Guest User: The room was clean, new, very spacious, and looked great. The staff were lovely and very welcoming. The only thing I had an issue with was the air conditioning. I'm not sure how the system works, but I felt like it wasn't getting very cold when I adjusted the temperature, and there didn't seem to be much air coming out. So it got a little warm while I was sleeping.

Guest User: The room was very clean, and the kitchenette was super convenient, even coming with disposable dish soap and utensils. The bedding was soft, comfortable, and clean—my sensitive skin didn't itch at all. The air conditioning was powerful, and the bathroom was spacious. My only minor complaint is that I couldn't find a hairdryer. Also, there's only one person at the front desk, so they can get overwhelmed at times, leading to slower responses.

Safi18: Enjoyed our stay. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and that is always a good sign. Place was clean, tidy - bed and pillows were comfortable, bathroom was clean and necessary items - shampoo/condition/body wash & lotion supplied. This studio apartment had a laundry area inside the big bathroom with an ironing board propped bewyeen since & washer. Kitchen was well equipped though we only used the kettle to boil water for coffee & tea. One tv in lounge, a smaller one with Netflix /YT/etc in bedroom. Overall a pleasant happy stay for me. Thank you to the wonderful staff

I went there for the Last Post Ceremony (it's free but you still have to book tickets online) and it was quite interesting. The ticket to the ceremony doesn't grant you access to the other parts of the museum but if you have enough time and are interested in Australia's war and conflict history it looked well displayed.The War Memorial is also a great starting point for a hike up to the Mount Ainslie Lookout with a beautiful view over Canberra - especially great during sunset.
