I happened to arrive when I was taking a walk about 10 minutes from Kikuna Station. It was still beginning to bloom, but azaleas were in bloom at the entrance.
10 minutes walk from Kikuna station. Located under the edge of Kanagawa Prefectural Road 2. A temple of the Nichiren sect. Passing through the quaint mountain gate, there was a wide precinct, and two giant trees stood tall. It was impressive that many graduation towers were built in the main hall.
The entrance to the precincts is a short staircase of about 15 steps, and the mountain gate is placed at a position that turns right from there. Looking up from the bottom of the stairs, the feeling of the approach, the mountain gate, and the white walls is indescribable, and it is a very impressive temple with a taste. The precincts are kept clean, the facilities are well maintained, and it makes you feel very solemn. The precincts are quite large when viewed on the map, but all the areas leading to the slopes of the hills were graves.
I was attracted to the name and went there. Although it is located in a residential area, there is a mountain gate where you climb the stairs and turn in an L-shaped shape, so it feels independent from the surroundings. There was a large tree in front of the main shrine, a rich greenery in the back, and well-maintained flowers in the precincts, making it a very tasteful temple.
