The trail around Kurinodake is fun from the 555-stage pillow stairs

    Original Text

On my 35th wedding anniversary, I went trekking to Mt. Kurino in Yusui Town. The positive self-restraint of the new corona was just lifted in Kagoshima Prefecture, so only two aunts passed each other on the way. Parking lot Start at 10:25 at "Japan's No. 1 Pillow Stairs", pass the four peaks while taking a break, and arrive at the summit (Peak 5) at 12:35. In the guide map, there is the first observatory beyond that. It seemed to be so I was going to have lunch, but I found it ...

The view from the top of the stairs is the best!

    Original Text

The stairs made of long-lasting pillows are extremely tough, but the view of the town of Kurino from above is the best.

"Japan 1 の Sleeping Stage" がある Park

    Original Text

There was a park called "Kurinodake Recreation Village" next to Kirishima Art Village, so I stopped by. There is a small coffee shop next to the parking lot. The coffee you get in this nature will be delicious. Kurinodake Recreation Village seems to have the "Japan's No. 1 Pillow Stairs" using about 7,000 pillow trees on the former Jnr Yamano Line, but I can't afford to climb anymore, so I'll look around the nearby park. There is a wooden playground, and the monument made by processing wood is decorated in 々 ...

    Sleeping stage!

    Original Text

Climb the narrow prefectural road aiming for Kurinodake Onsen, pass the hot spring, and there is a large parking space for about 5 minutes, and the sign says "Japan's No. 1 Pillow Stairs". Looking up, the straight stairs continue to the top and you can't see the future. The stairs are large nail holes that seem to be the remnants of old pillows, and sometimes metal fittings are cut. There is only a pillow tree, and the steps are not so high, so you can easily climb for the number of steps. When I went up, it would have been a nice view. Sorry ...

Pillow stairs along the art forest. Good exercise and scenery

    Original Text

I stopped by on the way to the art forest. The long stairs became moderate exercise, and I'm glad I got rid of the tiredness of moving by car. The scenery was good and I couldn't go to the hiking course that I could go to as it was, but I thought it was a good bridge where I could take a walk with nature.
