Qingcheng Academy

Qingcheng Academy is located in Qingcheng Ancient Town, Yuzhong County, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. During the Qing Qianlong period, Qingcheng Ancient Town merchants gathered and economic prosperity, thus promoting the development of cultural education. In the eleven years of Qingdao light, the Shuiyan Dashang Yang Shunlun and Gu Yongtai advocated, and the community raised funds to build Qingcheng College. Now Qingcheng College has been renovated and opened as a tourist attraction.

Qingcheng College is located in the Qingzhong Qingcheng Town, founded in the Qing Xuanzong Daoguang 11 years (1831), has a history of 173 years. At the beginning, 3 courtyard doors were built, 5 front courtyards, 3 rooms in the halls, 3 rooms in the two buildings; 3 rooms in the middle courtyard lecture halls, 5 rooms in the two buildings; 3 rooms in the backyard lecture halls, 6 rooms in the two buildings.

The scenic area of Qingcheng Ancient Town in Lanzhou is mainly ancient buildings and ancient folk houses, which have a certain historical value for studying the northwest folk houses and northwest customs. According to historical records, Qingcheng Ancient Town was built when Qinzhou stabbed Shi Diqing during the Song Renzong period, so it was called Qingcheng. Historically, Qingcheng is a cargo distribution center based on smog, developed land and water transportation, Beijing, Tianjin, Taiyuan and other foreign merchants gathered, Bolai culture makes Qingcheng ancient houses have the flavor of Shanxi mansion, and the format of Beijing courtyard. The existing more than 50 houses of the courtyard of the ancient buildings, have certain cultural relics and ornamental value. The vast majority of these houses are buildings in Qing Kangxi, Qianlong, Jiaqing and Daoguang periods, mainly distributed in the three villages of Chenghe, Qingcheng and Xinmin. Among them, there is one building in the Ming Dynasty, 33 buildings in the Qing Dynasty and 15 buildings in the Republic of China. Among them, there are 12 complete courtyards, 18 more complete courtyards, 14 incomplete ones, and only 16 of the gate buildings. The brick and wood carving art of these ancient houses is also very exquisite.
