The Yellow River Museum

The Yellow River-themed museum is directly under the Ministry of Water Resources. Through a large number of unearthed cultural relics, exquisite pictures, detailed text, voice, videos, etc., visitors can approach the Yellow River, understand the Yellow River, and love the Yellow River.

As early as February 2020, the Yellow River Water Conservancy Committee of the Ministry of Water Resources and Zhengzhou established a working mechanism and established a special class to promote the construction of the Yellow River National Museum. At the same time, the Outline of the Yellow River National Museum Construction Program (Draft) was prepared. The Yellow River National Museum is located in Zhengzhou, focusing on the ecological evolution of the Yellow River Basin more than 5,000 kilometers. The museum building plan designed by gmp architects is based on the winding waterfront landscape, and starts from the two aspects of urban design and space creation to create a bridge that symbolizes the intersection of natural environment and modern civilization. The museum is located in the north of Zhengzhou and will become a highlight of the newly planned Yellow River National Cultural Park. The total area of the project covers 400 mu, the total construction area is 100,000 square meters, and the investment is about million yuan.

In July, Party Building Month organized company members to visit here. This is a microcosm of the Yellow River and a treasure trove of Yellow River knowledge. The geographical and landforms of the Yellow River and the climate and humanities are displayed and introduced to the Yellow River culture through pictures, videos, engineering models, physical specimens, etc. The management of river diseases, development and utilization of water resources and the vision planning of the Yellow River are introduced.

The Yellow River Museum covers an area of 40 mu and the construction area of 7045 square meters has begun. The new museum is located in the north gate of Zhengzhou City, the Yellow River in the north, Yingbin Road in the south, Garden Road in the west, and Zhongzhou Avenue in the east. On September 27, 2012, the new pavilion at the intersection of Garden Road and Yingbin Road was fully completed and opened to the public for free.

The Yellow River Museum is located at No. 402 Yingbin Road, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. It was founded in 1955. It is the first river museum in China and the earliest natural science and technology museum with the theme of the Yellow River. The museum covers an area of 7,000 square meters, with a building of about 2,900 square meters, of which the display area is 1,200 square meters. The Yellow River National Museum of Zhengzhou Comprehensive Museum in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province is located in the southeast corner of the intersection of Wenhua Road and Yellow River Embankment in Huiji District, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, close to the natural Yellow River.
