Chuantang Palace, located at the foot of the mountain on the east side of Linhe Palace, was built in the Qianlong period, and was rebuilt when Guangxu was in. Chuantang Palace sits east to west, with 3 wide faces and hard peaks. Under the scorpion "Chuantang Palace", there was originally a link "The scorpion is windy and clear in the moon, and the Danyu gathers leaves and the threshold of flying flowers." 穿堂殿位于颐和园西北角，是颐和园的老建筑，如今成为了售卖工艺品、饮料、咖啡等小商品、小食品的地儿，在颐和园逛累了可以坐下歇歇脚。
穿堂殿位于临河殿东面，始建于乾隆年间，光绪年间重修，在匾额“穿堂殿”下，有对联：邃馆来风清檐驻月，丹墀聚叶镂槛飞花。
