Sayram Lake is one of Xinjiang’s famous scenic destinations. The lake sits against snow-covered mountains and is surrounded by vast grassland. All this scenery plus the lake’s clear azure water creates the beauty of a scroll painting. Every year in June and July, the lake's surroundings fill with every color of wildflower, a beautiful sight not to be missed. The lake covers a large area, with a circumference of approximately 60 kilometers. Visitors typically need two days to visit the sights around it. You can also photograph beautiful lakeside sunrises and sunsets.
