American Village and its great eats!

I lived at Okinawa, Japan for three years. An oldie but a goodie, American Village (in Japanese “Mihama”), is a great place to walk around and find places to eat. You’ll never get tired of seeing the sights because it’s different every season. I think AV is the best during the holidays as they put lights everywhere. Aside from the wide range of eateries, there’s a beautiful view of the sea alongside the edge of AV. Where I’m standing in the second picture is close to a nearby beach called Araha Beach. American Village one of the popular tourist spot in Okinawa ,it was located in Chatan the views there are incrediblethe kights at night are incredible too one of my stress reliever views,they do sometimes fireworks ,and there's a lot of incredible store although some if it are little bit expensive but worth it to buy,like foods,clothes,perfumes and many more ,they have everything there in AV like u can just walked it all by ,no car needed ,the walking trip is worth it,good sightseeing and they have a ferris wheel there u can see the ciew of AV one of the good views there is the beach ♥️they have small bars close to the beach and some nice christmas Lights ♥️♥️

Araha Beach

#beachlife What can I say about Araha Beach that hasn't already been said? The beaches themselves are clean, people frequently play volleyball and just relax on the sand and there is a walking path along the entire beach for runners, cyclists, etc. A large basketball court numerous hoops and further down a giant playground shaped like a pirate ship. Multiple stone picnic tables with covers are available for use and there are a number of restaurants to get food, drinks, hookah, and even a tattoo shop. Limited parking and when the weather is nice it fills up pretty quick. There are often people fishing and when the tide is low the whole area changes shape a bit and you can walk pretty far out into the water. If you're into photography, this is a great place to get some nice shots of the setting sun. A wedding studio holds regular sessions with couples on the beach as well. Many Americans live in the buildings on the coast and it's about a 10 minute walk to American Village from the basketball court. The path along the beach can take you all the way there. Great spot to visit if you don't mind lots of people, there's always people on this beach and ALWAYS people on the basketball courts.

Araha Beach

#thingstodo A nice beach with a park right in front of it. I didn't get into the water, but it looked clear. It was a great place to take a break. I can't wait to play with my family here this summer. It is close to Camp Foster. There are lots of restaurants near this area.A very nice and beautiful beach. We have spent the whole afternoon here and enjoyed it. Toilets and shower (100yen) are available but not that clean.

Just a 2.5 hour flight from mainland Japan is my favorite getaway destination, Okinawa's beaches are absolutely stunning and captivating. My husband and I stay in Okuma and had a blast snorkeling and swimming in the crystal clear water. #wintergetaway #wintergetaway

Chatan Park

#okinawatrip This sports park includes an athletics field, swimming pool, baseball field, softball field, tennis field, indoor practice field, and sub-grounds, but does it also include a beach, barbecue area, and footbath?? During the mid-February camping season, you can see a large number of spectators, but there are Aeon supermarkets and Chatan Village nearby, so it is a place where you can enjoy shopping and gourmet food. In the evening, it is a place where you can watch the sunset beautifully, and many locals and tourists gather here. Also, there are many foreigners living in the area, so you can often see them jogging or walking their dogs. I think this area is a special area where you can enjoy an exotic atmosphere.

Gajumaru Rock

[Gajumaru Rock] Okinawa: Kouri Island | Agu hamburger (¥ 1350) Thick cartilage soki curry (¥ 1200) Fashionable cafe on Kouri Island famous for heart rock ☕️💓 Actually, it seems that he built a cafe by self-building by cultivating a place that was originally a forest ✨ There is also a hammock on the terrace, so even if you use that on a sunny day 👌 The cheese hamburger steak made from Okinawan Agu pork has a delicious sauce and is very voluminous 😍 Soki is also carefully simmered so it is thick and soft. It goes very well with cheese curry 🍛🧀 There aren't many places to take a break on Kouri Island, so I recommend it!

Okinawa! First two photos are taken at Kouri Island and last photo was taken at Lequ hotel in American Village, Chatan. it is a must to go place for sightseeing and the hotel is great. If you wanna see fireworks, you should come on Saturdays,7:30pm. Fireworks might be cancelled due to some weather changes.#fireworksshow

This is one of the better beaches in Okinawa. Relatively clean and not too commercialized. The beach was very clean when we visited. Apparently I heard that this place was called the lovers' beach as many young japanese love to date at this romantic location. Definitely a place to relax and take in the beauty of the area. Kouri beach is small, cute beach at the end of the bridge connecting Kouri Island with Yagaji Island. Not far from Nago. We parked on the right at the end of the bridge for 300¥ all day but there is a parking lot on the left where you can park for free. There is a small restaurant, an ice cream kiosk, vending machines and a small market selling fresh fruit, veggies, drinks, swimsuits and souvenirs. They also rent bikes. Water sports on the beach. Toilets, changing rooms and showers for free. You can also rent sun beds and umbrellas. #givethanks #givethanks

Kouri Island, Okinawa, Japan

Araha Park

#okinawatrip Great public beach and park , very nice kids playground. It has a small snack bars to buy simple food,local beer, water and soda. Tent rentals also for party.Lots of local Japanese, mainland, some tourist and local american. Free parking lot and 🚻 bathrooms. Nice walking area 👌. Walk from Hamby town is about two minutes. Walk from Chatan Chatan-chō baseball stadium is about ten minutes. The Dragons play spring training at this location. A drive from Naha International Airport is about thirty to forty minutes depending on traffic and time of day. Beautiful sunsets,with lots of restaurants within walking distance after sunset.
