Grim past
Yes this is the least pleasing bridge architecturally in Salzburg Altstadt but there is a grim history behind it. At the northern end of the bridge there is a plaque in memory of hundreds of workers ...
Just a common bridge
Nothing special at this bridge,it's a regular bridge,it has an absolutely banal arhitecture. Allows both road and pedestrian traffic.
Pretty part of town.
We liked it. Nice part of town. Some good photos to be had down here by the river. Well worth a visit and walk around.
State Bridge
The State Bridge connects the left and right side of the Old City. It is the tenth bridge (beginning with wooden 1090) opened in 1949. The bridge is 80m long and 20m wide.
