田(甜)心盟主:“The following are comments on Faial Island:
Natural landscape
- Spectacular volcanic landscape: Faial Island is a volcanic island with active volcanoes, volcanic lakes, lava landforms, etc. For example, Capelinhos Volcano, you can see the remains of the 1957 eruption, and the huge crater Caldeira, covered with plants and flowers, with beautiful scenery.
- Beautiful coastal scenery: With a charming coastline, the cliff hiking route at the Fajãs cliff fishing village overlooks the sea and enjoys the beauty of waves hitting the shore and cliffs.
- Excellent ecological environment: As an ecological paradise, it is a good place to watch whales, because there are many whales in the nearby waters due to ocean currents. Every summer, a large area of blue hydrangeas bloom, and there are virgin forests, providing an excellent environment for hiking.
Humanities
- Unique port town: Porto Horta is a colorful port town with free wine and cheese carnivals, full of rich Portuguese style, white-walled buildings with colorful doors and windows, lively streets, and a leisurely atmosphere.
- Rich in history and culture: The San Roque Whaling Museum allows you to learn about the history of whaling culture; the Crição Velha Vineyard is a world heritage volcanic rock terrace where you can taste Verdeho white wine and experience the unique wine culture.
- Lazy living atmosphere: The islanders live a slow and lazy life. Tourists can relax here, enjoy a quiet life away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and experience a pure island lifestyle.
Tourism facilities
- Convenient transportation: All nine islands in the Azores have branch airports. Faial Island has at least one flight a day, and there are ferries to and from the five islands of the central island group. There are more flights in summer, which is convenient for tourists to go to other islands and realize island hopping.
- Complete supporting facilities: There are hotels and homestays of various grades on the island to meet the needs of different tourists. There are also restaurants, cafes, etc., which provide local and international cuisine. In addition, there are also some shopping malls and supermarkets for tourists to shop.”
DaBob:“A conference hotel in winter, everything is up to Five Star hotels standards all over the world.
However i was stucked in the elevator for 3 minutes and didn't why the door kept closed.”
DaBob:“A trendy place to stay, newly built and in a very good spot of the town, Angra Do Heroismo.
I chose 18c chill on the a/c and it came out hot air. The hotel says they only put heat at a/c in winter, but March is spring, right..why customers have to wait until June to have cool air?”
Anonymous User:“Great location just close to the ocean and town center. Nice seaview from the restaurant. Good quality of service and great heated indoor swimming pool.”
Shirley Mercieca:“We were very happy with the service. The receptionists were all very helpful, especially Bruno, and the room and beds were very comfortable too. When we requested a mini fridge, they efficiently provided us with one. The only thing we didn't like was the fact that we, as hotel guests, still had to pay €4 to park our car inside. This should have been free for hotel guests.”
TheForkUser:“The rooftop bar and restaurant is beautiful with spectacular views. The sushi was superb, as well as the other plates were a feast for the eyes. We had a chance to meet the talented chef Paulo Rosa. Also our waiter Lizandra was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very professional. The hotel in itself is just so pretty and all the staff very friendly. I am definitely coming back.”
TheForkUser:“Cozy atmosphere and very attentive and friendly staff. The menu is varied, as is the wine cellar, and full of good options. The meals were very well presented and prepared. We really enjoyed it and will do it again!”
TheForkUser:“Great experience at Fuji sushi. It’s away from the touristy areas. Food was good but having been to sushi places around the world it’s not quite there. Although the fish used were fresh but the sushi rice could improve. Staff were very attentive. The place was nice and intimate. I would come back and try their a la carte menu since I had the omakase.”
吃喝玩乐打卡:“The Maddalena Archipelago is an archipelago of the village of La Maddalena. There are many bays and beaches in the Maddalena Archipelago. A long causeway connects it to the neighboring island of Caprera, and it can only be approached by boat. At sunset, the mountains are reflected on the water, the waves are sparkling, and it is magnificent. The soft sea breeze blows towards you, enjoying the "massage" of nature, how can you describe it with just one word! #岛度假游# The scenery here is as beautiful as a picture #康复系风景 #收藏世界的仙境 #发现旅途色彩 #去去去去去”
TheForkUser:“Location is beautiful, they gave me a table vista mare, the waiters are very nice and professional, fish was fresh and great, a bit too expensive but it's worth it !”
TheForkUser:“We had the 45 euro menu. Mostly excellent but the steak was badly overcooked. Told the waiter and wine server but we were never acknowledged by chef or anyone in authority. Setting and service were excellent.”
