Nestled deep within the fields outside Babao Town, Yalong Village is hidden among karst peaks, with thousands of acres of paddy fields stretching out, the village quietly nestled beneath the verdant mountain shadows. Unlike the renowned Bamei in Guangnan, this place sees few tourists. The Zhuang people still tend to their paddy fields, planting rice in spring and harvesting in autumn. Morning mist often shrouds the entire field at dawn, painting the peaks with an ink-wash painting effect. Streams flow through the village, irrigating the rice paddies along the roadside. Banana bushes sway gently in the breeze on the banks, children play in the shallows, and farmers lead their oxen slowly along the field ridges. The air is filled with the fragrance of soil, rice, and vegetation; time seems to slow down here. In life, we always encounter setbacks and frictions, often yearning for a place where we can let down our guard, where we don't have to be strong or try to please others. Yalong Village may not have breathtaking scenery, but it soothes the heart with its long, gentle daily life. The sound of wind rustling through the rice paddies, the gentle murmur of rural conversation, and the soft glow of the setting sun bathing the rice fields—layer upon layer—slowly soothe any restlessness. There's no need to rush to distant places; occasionally lingering in such peaceful countryside allows you to accept life as it is, and to gently reconcile with all adversity. As you leave, looking back at the tranquil fields, you'll find a sense of gentle strength within, learning to treat yourself kindly and to view the world with tolerance.
