Grace_cyt:“Tingtao Villa is located on the seaside. You can hear the sound of the waves directly, hence the name Tingtao Villa. The building is very beautiful, and the decoration inside is magnificent and shocking. There is also a mini villa in the garden, which is a building suitable for children to play. It looks quite interesting. It was raining that day, and when we visited the indoors and came to the outdoors, there was heavy fog. We could hardly see the sea view, and could only hear the sound of the waves. It was really like listening to the waves. The whole scenic spot took about one and a half hours to two hours to visit. Tingtao Villa is more than an hour's drive from Boston one way. If you are in a tight schedule, it is not recommended to go there.”
palettes_ny:“This gorgeous stone palace, Marble Villa, is a more luxurious summer home. It was built for William K. Vanderbilt and his wife from 1888 to 1892. It was Vanderbilt's 39th birthday gift to his wife. The house villa was inspired by the Petit Trianon in the Palace of Versailles.
The Chinese teahouse in the garden behind the castle is also a major feature of this castle. I feel that after visiting Newport Castle for too many times, there will be aesthetic fatigue, but the Chinese teahouse on the large lawn here is impressive. It is said that the hostess of this teahouse also held a rally for women's voting rights here. Standing on the lawn, you can see the blue sea at a glance. Compared with the Chateau-sur-Mer mansion, the interior decoration of this castle is more exquisite and magnificent, and many carvings and murals are also incorporated into the decoration.”
palettes_ny:“This octagonal granite tower was built in 1856 and is painted white and brown. The waves here are relatively large, so many shipwrecks have occurred there. There is a whistle on the lighthouse, which can be clearly heard by passing ships amid the sound of the waves.”
palettes_ny:“This park is probably the most local and cozy park I visited in Rhode Island. Unlike the bustling and crowded mansions and castles, this park is much more leisurely and cozy. You can also fly kites in the park. I saw many local residents who brought their own kites. There is also a roadside shed next to it where you can buy or rent kites. There is free parking in the park, but the parking spaces are relatively limited. I came here in the afternoon on the weekend and still waited for more than ten minutes for a parking space.”

Guest User:“It was a nice and quiet stay. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the room was clean, cute and comfortable. The breakfast also tasted good. I would come here again for sure!”
Guest User:“What a delightful surprise! The hotel is hip and friendly, with attractive spaces and thoughtful touches. Free bikes made it a pleasure to get to downtown Newport. Easy walk to Empire Tea and Coffee, Bridge Liquors, and Stop and Shop. A stunning park is behind with trails through a forest and an excellent playground. The room was stylish and bright. The front desk staff was so helpful and courteous. I enjoyed the pool with a great playlist in the background. I highly recommend the Wayfinder Hotel--one of my favorites of all the hotels I've stayed in worldwide. PS: And the best part is, it's affordable!”
Guest User:“A friend and I stayed at the Newport Harbor and Marina Hotel.
We choose a room overlooking the water and marina.
What a beautiful view. Really helped with the Winter Blues.
The location is awesome, so close to tons of shops, restaurants, and easy walking.
The pool was so refreshing.
Wish the restaurant and lounge was open for dinner, but hopefully that will change in the near future.
All in all, would definitely go here again.”
Guest User:“The inn is very clean and has no bad smell at all! The inn is once a farm house, according to the receptionist.
We have stayed in the one king bed room on the second floor. Bed is more to the soft side but ok. Didn't give me any back pain. The pillows are soft which I like a lot. Room is very clean that the tissue came out clean when I wipe the floor. Water is hot and no blockage in the bathtub. Air condition is a new model kind which worked well.
The breakfast area has 3 tables but normally no many people there. They have frozen muffins (with ham/egg etc), energy bars, yogurts and instant Oatmeals and bottle juices. 24 hours you have hot water and coffee and fruits in the breakfast area. Not fancy but you won't be hungry :)
I don't have any complaints. Will recommend my friends to this inn. They charged $50 for deposit on check in day. They said they will refund it. I am waiting for that.”
