What people are saying:

The priest’s residence is just across the road from Glasgow Cathedral, once the heart of Glasgow in the Middle Ages. This is a house from the Middle Ages. Although it is not beautiful enough, you can get a rough idea of the houses and people's living conditions in the 17th century. There are some very few well-preserved buildings from the medieval period in Glasgow in the priest’s house and nearby Glasgow Cathedral. The priest's room is one of the oldest remaining houses. The priest’s house was built in 1471 and was built by Andrew Muirhead as the St. Nicholas Hospital and part of the Bishop of Glasgow. The priest’s house has probably been used as a cathedral for the clergy and other auxiliary personnel of the house, providing temporary housing.

    Better than the Cathedral!!!

I liked this better than the Cathedral because it dealt with real life and told the stories of some of Glasgow's renowned rogues and rascals. It is a fascinating free museum and you're left wondering ...

Very interesting 1471 house near cathedral

With furniture from the 15/16th century that looks as if it may have inspired Renee Mackintosh, who had helped to form the collection, it was an interesting visit with about 10 rooms.

    Really great find

After visiting the Glasgow Cathedral we wandered around a lovely old fashioned garden. Turns out it was the garden of Provand's Lordship. A staff member came out and told us about it being the oldest ...
