Tsukiyomi no mikoto, Kami of the Moon and Night
My first visit was in April 2019. It was dark, and mysterious looking against the full moon (満月) but definitely awe inspiring and calming spiritually. This was rumoured to be the first site (not the c...
It seems that there is Tsukiyomi Shrine in Kyoto. Everything was separated from Iki. It seems to be a shrine that originated in Shinto. When I went on the first day, I called the shrine office without anyone, and I worshiped again the next day because I was there the next day. Negi was said to double as other shrines. The stairs are steep.
The former shrine of Tsukiyomi Shrine. Tsukiyomi Shrine in Kyoto and Tsukiyomi Shrine in Ise are also spiritual shrines from here. There is a reasonable parking lot, and you can go up the stairs from there, but it is not a big number of steps. Depending on the shrine, there are more than 200 stairs, so if you are visiting temples and shrines on a regular basis, there will be no problem. The red stamp is written. A type that puts the first ear fee in a box and brings it home.
There is also a parking lot along the main street. The precincts are small. The shrine disappeared once due to the Mongol invasion, but it is said that this place was Tsukie Shrine during the Edo period. However, there are other candidates that were originally available, and Hakozaki Hachiman Shrine seems to be the most influential other than here. Personally, one vote for Hakozaki Hachiman. When I walk through the narrow precincts, I feel that the shrine next to the main shrine is the main shrine than the main shrine worship hall.
It is a shrine that you visit when you come to Iki.
