About Jiangkou: Jiangkou County is located in the northeast of Guizhou Province. It is positioned along the slopes that connect the Guizhou Plateau with the hills of western Hunnan. There are three main regions that show Jiangkou County’s natural and cultural landscapes. The main region is the Fanjing Mountain Scenic Spot. Next are the scenic sights made up from the county’s cities and Mianxu Mountain Range. Fanjing Mountain is famous throughout China as the preaching place of the Maitreya Bodhisattva. It is one of the five large mountains important in Buddhists teachings in China. Fanjing Mountain is rich in wildlife and plant species. Some examples are rare species such as the golden snub-nosed monkey and the dove tree.
