Photos of Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan

The Federal Territory Mosque is a municipal mosque in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, located on Ambassador Road. The mosque was built in 1997. The building is modeled after the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, which combines Ottoman and Malayan styles. The main prayer halls are on the 3rd and 4th floors, which are very spacious and can accommodate 17,000 worshippers at the same time. The building of the mosque adopts the Middle Eastern Safavid architectural style, the design of the two tall minarets is taken from the Egyptian style, and the interior decoration is paved with strong Malaysian art colors. These multi-coloured designs can be seen in the wooden kiln houses with the Koranic scriptures inscribed in Arabic calligraphy and Islamic motifs. The whole building is very magnificent, especially at night, very beautiful.
