Bangkok is a wonderful city, next to the tall buildings will be dilapidated buildings, with high-end shopping malls, fashionable coffee shops, and old power poles everywhere, modern and historical wonderfully blend together. To talk about the integration of history and modernity, I have to say LHONG 1919, this is not a new land, but a century-old pier. In order to expand trade, a famous Chinese Chen family established this pier on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, known as the "Fire Boat Corridor", which is the "Fire Boat Pier", which is the predecessor of LHONG 1919. Sleeping for more than 100 years, the fire boat porch, after two years, finally repaired, with its original appearance, here like crossing to the old time. When repaired in 2017, Princess Shilintong came to the scene and left her own signature, see P7.

Originally known as "Wang Lee Pier," it was built in 1919 during the reign of King Rama VI. The pier served as a trading hub and played a crucial role in facilitating commerce along the Chao Phraya River. In recent years, the pier was restored and transformed into a vibrant cultural and lifestyle destination.Lhong 1919 is now a popular spot for both locals and tourists to explore the historical architecture, indulge in various dining options, shop for souvenirs, and immerse themselves in the cultural events and activities that take place there. The site combines traditional and modern elements, creating a unique atmosphere that celebrates Thailand's rich heritage.

A Cultural Centre along the Choa Phraya River, Llhong 1919 features a group of old warehouses and aChinese temple dating back to the rule under King Rama IV (1851-1868). The space is home to a numberof restaurants and cafes as well as a Mazu Shrine. Entrance is absolutely free.Best to visit during Chinese New Year or when there are ongoing activities. Check outthe ongoing events at their social media page.

A very cultural place, some small shops are also very special, there are food to go shopping and sit down, there are also cash machines and the like. I was very happy to spend an afternoon with my friends when I took pictures and bought things. 160 years ago, overseas Chinese came to Thailand to live in the commercial office on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Now it is the Mazu Temple where the Chinese worship. Today, the Chinese renovated it and maintained the murals and relics left by the year. These actions express a Chinese overseas's thoughts on the motherland. I feel the hardships of coming to Thailand to do business.

It's beautiful. The buildings are old buildings in ancient Chinese style.
