The temple was built in the beautiful garden of the Lannatai Dynasty in the 14th century and has a magnificent building. The roof of the main temple is three floors. There are large and small pagodas behind the temple. The pagoda contains the bone altar of the king of Thailand. The temple also has the largest bronze Buddha statue in Thailand. The huge bell-shaped pagoda in the temple was built in memory of the famous monk Mahatera Sumana, who came to Chiang Mai from Sri Lanka to teach here.
