Wenchang Pavilion stands at the southernmost pedestrian street of Yulin Ancient City, squared with its base plane. It was built in Qianlong 19 (1754) in the Qing Dynasty. The whole building is a three-drop pure wood structure on the top of the Cross Xie Mountain. The total height of the building is about 19 meters. The building is 4 stone piers about 5 meters long and wide, 1.1 meters, and the bottom floor of the whole building is a cross-shaped passage. There are 28 giant pillars supporting the building, of which 4 Tongtian pillars are erected on the inside, and the atmosphere is very magnificent. The second floor is Wenchang Palace, and the statue of Wenchang Emperor is inside. The three-story building is the Kuixing Building, and the statue of Kuixing is in the inner circle. Both are the gods who control the literary and transportation of the world, and are respected by the literati.
