2020.9.16 Xichang Ancient City to Wuhu, back and forth through the ancient city of Xichang, located in the hinterland of the Anning River Plain in the western Sichuan Plateau, which has been a heavy town on the southwest side of the motherland since ancient times, and is also the center of politics, economy, culture and transportation. The longest north-south of Xichang Ancient City is about 20 kilometers, and the widest east-west is about 43 kilometers. We focused on three city gates, Datong Gate, Anding Gate, and North Gate. Arrived late the day before, saw the night view of three doors, the north gate is simpler, and the other two doors are lit, hooked out of the city gate curve, and the ancient trees next to the city gate, which have a different style under the light. This afternoon we came to visit again, from Datongmen to spend one yuan ticket, to board the city building, you can see the surrounding scenery of Xichang City Building. According to reports, Datongmen, also known as the South Gate, is one of the four major city gates (East, South, West, North Gate) of Jianchangwei in the Ming Dynasty, Hongwu 20 years (1387 AD). In 1998, the Datong Building was rebuilt. The masonry and stone walls of the Ming Dynasty were restored and become the face we see today. We walked along the wall to the Anding Gate. This section has been repaired. There are many old houses on the left, and there are old men playing Taijiquan in the green space. The Anding Gate is larger than the Chase Gate, with two city gates at right angles. Like the Chase Gate, the gates are traffic main roads, and people come and go, endlessly. Our group strolled upstairs, took some photos, and kept them as a souvenir. There are not many tourists on the upper floors of the city. Looking around, one side feels the history and culture of the ancient city of Xichang, the vicissitudes of change, and the other side also sees the new building rising, new and old, history and future, blending here, leaving a deep impression, not lost as a large historical and cultural landscape in Xichang, it is worth a visit.
