Shuangyashan Travel Guide
Shuangya Mountain is located in the east of Heilongjiang Province. The name comes from its pair of mountain peaks because they resemble ducks (Shuangya means “two ducks”). Shuangya Mountain is one of China’s important coal mining bases. Shuangyashan City is rich in tourism resources and is one of China’s most important wetland reserves. The area is also home to Qingshan National Forest Park. The park is a comprehensive forest ecotourism area with a wide variety of plant communities. Qixian River Wetland Reserve is home to many different types of wetland ecosystems and landscapes. The area is an important resting site for many kinds of rare birds.
