There are more than 40,000 pieces of cultural relics in the Suzhou Museum, including 865 pieces of first-class cultural relics, 1188 pieces of second-class cultural relics, and 32,295 pieces of third-level cultural relics. In addition, the Suzhou Museum also houses 3,128 volumes of 725 species of ancient books and 92,947 volumes of pubens, which are the key protection units for ancient books in China. The hall is the heart of the museum, between the entrance vestibule and the museum garden. This eight-corner hall was designed and transformed through the transformation of traditional Suzhou architecture and Chinese architectural elements. It is the guide of all visitors and provides access to all the museum's exhibition areas.
