The Vienna State Opera is one of the largest opera houses in the world, known as the "World Opera Center". Its predecessor was the wooden box theater in Vienna Castle Square in the 17th century. In 1869, it was moved to the ring street in the urban area. In 1918, the Palace Theatre became a state-owned enterprise, called the National Opera House. Take a guided tour of the Vienna State Opera with a quaint appearance and a majestic Romanesque building.
