Zurich, located in the north-central part of the Swiss Confederation, is the largest city in the Swiss Confederation, the capital of the Canton of Zrich, the national political, economic, cultural and transportation center and the richest city in Europe. The city has been rated as one of the most liveable cities in the world by UN-HABITAT for many years. Zurich has a population of 403,000 (2018) and an area of 91.9 square kilometers. The urban area is divided into east and west by the Limmat River. The West Bank is the old town of Zurich, while the east coast is the new city of Zurich. Zurich is an important cultural center in Europe. The Dadaism that emerged in 1916 originated in Zurich, where the headquarters of the International Football Federation is also located. [
