Djeuga Palace Hotel

ı come to this hotel for many years and people know me that always stay in Djeuga Palace hotel. This hotel need to be renewed otherwise they can loose customers. Especially rooms at 5th floor needs to be changed totally. Alright there can be errors , i feel lucky that reception and front office manager Madame Thomfeun Berthe gave me a nice superior room to remove my anger. She is a very responsible lady and i thank her a lot sincerely. Apart from her, technicans and yellow uniformed security prople in the hotel so helpful. They tried to do their best to solve problems. Rooms good, food good, bar people happly serving, breakfast good.. but people in reception must be cheerful ! I never seen anybody smiling. I want to always stay here if they take the necessary steps of what i wrote.

An excellent stay! I was here for 5 nights, and my stay here made my trip very enjoyable. It is very clean and comfortable, and as nice as a very nice hotel in the US. I REALLY enjoyed the great food, both local and international foods... I especially enjoyed the outdoor restaurant by the pool, where I'd get ndole or pizza everyday, and both were great (and so was the staff, particularly Joyce!). The health club was also great ... its not a ”hotel gym”, but rather a full health club (and it was complimentary).

This is a well run hotel and I was made to feel welcome as soon as I got near reception - Nina in particular made this a delightful stay and nothing was too much trouble for her. Rooms are well appointed to a high standard with lovely lighting and good WiFi. The carpeting in the corridors makes the place very quiet and rooms in the upper floors away away from the street. The food and restaurant menu service were excellent catering to European and some local tastes but you will pay 4 star prices. In the rooms, my only surprise was that no solid soap bars were provided. When checking out, I discovered that their credit card machine had not been working for 1 or 2 days, but when I could not get cash, they arranged for it's repair and all ended well (but it always pays to carry lots of cash in Cameroon as there are no guarantees that you can pay digitally!) I stayed 6 nights so negotiated a reduced rate, around U$125 bed and breakfast
Hotel Mont Fébé

Every time I go to Yaoundè my favourite destination remains Mont Febeè. Well, not anymore. I have been kind in the past, hoping things would change. They have. For the worse! This time it was absolutely abysmal. I reserved a room with a golf view and both times (I had two separate stays) I was given a room on the opposite side. My first room looked more like a deposit., Two lamps parked in a corner, both not working. 5 of the 6 lights in the room were not working, there was no table or chair. Wifi on the 8th floor non existant. No remote for the tv. Bathroom had not been cleaned in a while. I spent 4 nights there and despite my complaints, not once was my room made! And the safe did not work. I understand that the African Cup of Nations was taking place and Morocco had basically taken over the hotel, cordoning off lots of public areas for fear of Covid, but my money was as good as theirs! If you don't want other people in the hotel, just rent the entire place! So sorry to say this, but this was my last time at Mont Febè, unless things change (they haven't in 20 or more years, doubt they will anytime soon...)
