Gangaramaya Temple

The Ganggalama Temple in Colombo is displayed in various bodhisattvas, some smiling, some kind and kind, giving you warmth and calm. People come in and out, there are weddings, and Buddhism is a Sri Lankan lifestyle.

Many locals would wrap coins in cloth strips, tie them around the Bodhi tree, make a wish to the Bodhi tree and the Bodhisattva, and promise to return their wishes with flowers and other sacrifices and exchange the coins.

I visited this little Buddha temple with a local. It is a very special place with a 104-year-old monk living. The Buddhist temple has many works returned to Sri Lanka after different conflicts. It is worth seeing. We stayed in Colombo for a while and came to this attraction by chance to see the magnificent temple here. The environment is very beautiful and quiet, the scenery is wonderful, and the style of living alone. We enjoyed the many years of staying here, including some old-fashioned British cars. Being in it, you occasionally feel like you’re wandering around the surreal BRIC markets, full of old glasses and all kinds of jewelry. My personal favorite is the little Buddha statue, which is placed in a miniature glass dome, and his face can be clearly seen through a magnifying glass.

Buddha contends for a fragrance! I visited Xiagang Galama Temple, a place of pure Buddhism, worshiped before I left, and was lucky to see hair relics of the Supreme Buddha. Good luck! That Bodhi tree may be thousands of years ago, there are many crows, the latter two do not know where, pat, no guide and do not understand the strong accent of English, wandering around.

Ganggalama Temple is a very famous Tibetan Buddhist temple in Colombo. The entire temple is very large, whether it is monk costume or photographic art, has a strong Tibetan Buddhist characteristics. There are so many people in Sri Lanka that it is also very lively and one of the places where there are the most lazy people in Colombo.

Gangaramaya temple is very worthwhile to come. It's a treasure. It's enough to know the historical origin of Buddhism culture. I'm lucky to be blessed by the priest Podi hamuduruwo. The priest holds the golden Buddha in his hand and ties the red rope on my hand. It's a great honor for my three life. I'll come back and donate some treasures to show my respect.
