Not much to see really
We visited here in January and the gardens were closed due to refurbishment works - at least that what is said. There is not much to see of the old castle apart from the outside and most have been tu...
When I visited because I wondered if there was a castle, I entered the Prefectural Goto High School. The school building was built in the place where the castle was located, with the magnificent stone walls and moats left behind. Looking over the city from the roof of the school building, you can feel like you are the owner of the castle. In Europe, buildings are preserved by using historic churches, but I think it is a more clever way to use cultural heritage in that it is reused by changing the usage.
The castle is now Goto High School. I don't know if they are conscious of it. The wall surrounding the school is a stone wall and he was originally a castle. Going to school beyond the moat Running beside the stone wall. It seems to be a very luxurious environment, but even elementary school students and high school students who go here naturally see the appearance of greeting strange tourists, and I wonder if there is some influence.
There is a high school inside, so I think you will see high school students. It was morning, so the boy said good morning, and it was a pleasant morning to greet me politely. The main tour is the walls.
Although it is a corona disaster, it is closed for a long time. It may be unavoidable because it is privately owned, but I want those with historical value to be a little more aggressive.
