    Interesting But Nothing Special

It is a short pier on the water front with a few things to show what it is but it really has nothing so take a look as you walk past.

It's located at Higashihama Pier, which is within walking distance of Kanamori Warehouse.

    Original Text

It is located on a pier a little far from the bay area leading from the Kanamori Warehouse. There is a large fence and a large white monument. The large white monument was square and I didn't understand it well, but when I took a closer look, it was a deformed bear shape. This pier was mainly used after the Meiji Restoration at Higashihama Pier, and after that it became a pier with the Seikan Ferry.

    Dongguan Bridge is near くに

    Original Text

It is a monument near Higashihama Pier, which has become the gateway to Hokkaido since the Meiji era. It is said that it was built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of the road. It seems that the motif is brown bears and ships that remind me of Hokkaido, but I didn't have the impression that it was a brown bear at all, probably because the color was white.

    a polar bear?

    Original Text

It is the first step monument in Hokkaido near Higashihama Pier in Hakodate city. Polar bear? The large stone statue stands out. The view on a sunny day was amazing in a place overlooking the harbor. The West Wharf is also nearby, making it a convenient location for tourists. There is a distance from Hakodate Station and it is convenient to take a bus.

Public art that seems to have imagined bears and Ikari ⚓

    Original Text

It was near the site of the Maritime Self-Defense Force Hakodate Base Corps. It was not just a monument, but a monument with "Bear Niikari", and it was designed like a public art.
