Yuxiu Bridge

Yuxiu Bridge is located on the Lishui River in the south of the ancient city of Jincheng Street, Hancheng City. Yuxiu means that excellent people are bred, referring to the beautiful mountains and rivers, and the talents are out of the generation. This is matched with Hancheng as the hometown of Sima. The characteristics of humanistic talents and martial arts are all available. The Qing Dynasty "three yuan" is complete, and Xiucai and Wusheng are countless. The pier of the bridge is shuttle-shaped, the bottom of the bridge is paved, the bridge surface is arched, and the stone seams are reinforced with iron incense.

About Yuxiu Bridge, there is also a little-known historical story of "three or two silver selling bridges". Yuan Xiuqiao was built by Hancheng Yi people and Yungui inspector Liu Yinshu during the Qing Kangxi period. In order to avoid future generations from using the bridge to blackmail the people, Liu Yinshu sold the bridge to Hancheng County at the price of three or two silver after the bridge was built.

The South Bridge, across the Lishui River at the southern end of Jincheng, was built in the Kangxi period. After 21 years of maintenance in Qianlong, it was renamed "Yuxiu Bridge". The bridge and the Jinta in the north of the city formed the "first" and "tail" of the dragon in Hancheng. Walking on this stone bridge, it came with a simple and desolate atmosphere. With the sound of flowing water under the bridge, I calmly feel the humanities and interesting things that have happened in the long river of history and this bridge.

The length of the Yuxiu Bridge is 180 meters, and the width of the Yuxiu Bridge is4.5 meters. The pier of the bridge is shuttle-shaped, the bottom of the bridge is paved, the bridge surface is bow-shaped, the stone intersects are reinforced with iron ingots, the sides of the bridge are stone bars, there are 101 east of the pillar, 99 west, the pillars are carved with melons and fruits, and the two ends of the columns are set up to symbolize the guard. Each hole has a stone faucet in the middle of the bridge, which is exquisite and vivid. The bridge was built in Qing Kangxi for 41 years (1702) and was built by the Yi Liu Yinshu (Zeng Yugui Governor of Yungui) for five years.
