This is a very interesting sculpture garden, free of charge, not far from the riverside of Sun Island, take the cable car to cross the river closer. There are typical works of Yu Qingcheng sculpture in the garden.

One day in October, a group of sculptures was found while visiting Harbin Sun Island. When I walked in, a large stone was engraved with the words "Yu Qingcheng Sculpture Park". Within a radius of less than 1 hectare (7,000 square meters), there were 8 groups of 13 metal-painted sculptures. At first, I didn't care too much. The more I looked, the more I was attracted to them, the more I felt that this was not a normal sculpture. It was a bit of a surprise to look at the author's background. The prototype of these sculptures turned out to be "mud plastic" and the author was a folk artist. Moreover, sculpture gardens named after individuals are not common in China. With great curiosity, I admire them carefully. Although I don't know how valuable their art is, from the perspective of visitors, I think they are really wonderful, interesting, and elegant. And there are at least three features. 1) Simple and grounded. The characters on these sculptures are farmers, they look very rustic. Thick lips, wrinkled skin, round body, nest-sacked clothes..., native and straight, undisguised, realistic and grounded, even soil scum. From those rafts, In the expression of sluggish, kind, silly, you can feel the strong local atmosphere, a natural earthy feeling. Obviously, these sculptures convey the concept of farmers "live life", which ordinary people can understand. 2) Exaggeration, vulgarity. Others are surprised that the sculptures are extremely exaggerated in their creative methods. Disproportionate large mouths, front teeth, large fingers, large feet, large toenails, cracked wrinkles... and even large crotch. They are extremely artistically infectious and unforgettable. This is probably the author's creative style, right? Humble vision, vulgar elegance, effectively reversed the "earth", make the work refined, but also turned into magic, let a piece of lifeless mud into a stunning artwork. 3) Harmful and connotation. In addition to character modeling, these sculptures generally have the plot meaning of the intriguing. The witty posture action, the humorous scene story..., people think about the connection, but also reflect the author's spiritual world. Full of dramatic creativity, optimistic, innocent and lovely, happy; there are also cold, full of vicissitudes, suffering and joy. These sculptures seem to be given to the soul, telling something.
