One of the oldest streets in town, Takinokoji connects the Itsukushima Shrine with Daisho-in. It’s relatively quiet in the day with fewer crowds since most people walk in the touristy market streets....
This small alley is what remains of the old style buildings and oldest part of the town on the island. The architecture is wprth a brief visit as you walk behind the Itsukushima shrine.
