Akamon, a high school on a hill. There was a free parking lot under the hill, and there is a red gate in less than 5 minutes.

It is the only gate in Kashima Castle that escaped the disappearance, but while the relocated gate was painted vermilion and gorgeous, the inside of this gate makes you feel the history. There was something that made me think about the difference in the height of the inside cheek.

This is a place recommended by the locals when taking a walk around the ruins of Kashima Castle. There was a high school when I passed through here. Since it was an early morning visit, there were no people, so I took a picture and immediately left.

Kashima Castle was destroyed by fire in the Saga War in the early Meiji period. Among them, the red gate and the main gate remained. Akamon is currently used as the main gate of Kashima High School. Otemon is located in the same position as it was at that time and is in the aisle of the path. I'm glad to see it still.
