佛顶宫位于南京市江宁区牛首山遗址公园。佛顶宫属于深坑建筑，长220米，宽160米，总体高度89.3米，单体建筑面积约13.6万平米。佛顶宫建筑以供养为主题，内空间分为九层，地上三层、地下六层，地下层由舍利大殿和舍利藏宫两大空间构成。佛顶宫建筑以供养为主题，共分为大小穹顶两部分，寓意为外供养与内供养，大穹顶长度为120米，形如佛祖袈裟，既与牛首东峰呼应，又覆盖在地宫小穹顶之上，象征佛祖无量加持。小穹顶整体犹如佛祖发髻，单个为双手合十造型，寓意千万信众对佛祖供养。
