According to reports, the building opened in 1856 and was the first specialty infectious disease hospital in the United States to treat Tianhua patients. Later, after the victory of the human race, it has done other kinds of hospitals in its history, and finally used as a school. By the 1950s, the building was abandoned and protected until today.
