The public transportation to Kyoto to Bisan is more complicated. The bus goes directly to the top of the mountain. I chose a small train to get on and off. Take the Keihan tram to the terminal and leave the station to transfer to the Busan Electric Railway to the direction of Yasaka Busan Pass (Figure 2), take the mountaineering train to the terminal (Figure 3) to the mountainside (Figure 4), and transfer to the cable car to the top of the mountain (Figure 5). There is a garden on the top of the mountain. If you don't enter the park, you can follow the mountain road next to the garden to the parking lot (Figure 6). There are buses back to Kyoto and shuttle buses to Yanli Temple. Yanli Temple is all over Bisong Mountain, and the main buildings are distributed in Yokogawa, West Tower, and East Tower (fundamental middle hall). Return to the oldest Sakamoto train in Japan (pictured) to Sakamoto on the other side of the mountain, take the shuttle bus or walk 900 meters through Nikita Shrine to Sakamoto Bisho Pass, and take the Ishiyamaji Temple Line (pictured) back to Kyoto.
The temple group on the northern part of Kyoto, the temple group on the mountain of Bisong, includes the three areas of the East Tower, the West Tower and Yokogawa, and the total mountain of the Japanese rooftop. In the 9th century, Japanese monks came to China to practice Buddhism on the mountain of Tiantai. After returning home, they opened the school in Bisong Mountain, which formed the eastern tower area today. Later, the most Cheng disciple expanded the size of the temple group in the West Tower and Yokogawa to form today's Yanli Temple. As the holy mountain guarding Ping An Jing, Yanli Temple has historically been larger than the Yanli Temple in Lushan, and Nara Xingfu Temple is called "Nandu Beiling". Friends who have read "Pingjia Wuyu" should not be unfamiliar with Yanli Temple. Because the area is vast, it usually takes a whole day to visit Yanli Temple. In addition to the magnificent Buddhist temple and pagoda, overlooking the lake on Bi'an Mountain is also a great scenery.
Yanli Temple is still worth going. If you go to the Wuhu area, located on Bisong Mountain, it is divided into three parts: East Tower, West Tower and Yokogawa. It belongs to Shiga Prefecture and Kyoto Prefecture. The three parts are far away. The East Tower and West Tower need to walk for about 20 minutes, and it takes a few hours to walk to Yokogawa. But you can do the bus or drive past, and the ticket includes 3 parts.
It is a bit cold for people who don't know Japanese history, but if people familiar with Japanese history are still famous places, Pure Land lives in Daben Mountain, and there are historical events such as Oeda Shinagawa burning Bisan. Personally, I think that if you take a car from Kyoto, the traffic is not very convenient and it is not recommended, because most of the time you will be waiting for the car, and it will be used in a day. After all, the three major attractions are far away and the time is particularly long. But if you drive, it will be completely different, and it is only 2,000 yen for the whole journey than the landscape highway of Lushan. This high speed is still a famous landscape road. From the vicinity of Wuhu, to Kyoto, you can experience the scenery along the road very well, and the three attractions on the joint ticket are not to be missed, you can also go to the hotel of the ropeway to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Wuhu. The three main attractions, East and West Towers and Yokogawa Middle Hall, are national treasure-level attractions. After entering, you can see the ancient trees. The natural environment is good. The best business is to have the bus station near the fundamental middle hall. You can buy some souvenirs you need. There are more popular. Busan's Buddhist foundation is very strong. Although Japanese Buddhism originated in China, it still retains a lot of original taste compared to Han Buddhism, and you can also experience different temples. Here you can even see the royal chrysanthemum-printed car, there are many activities to participate in Zen writing, but unfortunately these things are too time-consuming, ordinary tourists have no chance to experience. By the way, the scenery of Lugu Lake is really good.
Yanli Temple on the outskirts of Kyoto is a very quiet temple. It plays a very important role in Japanese history. Because it is not convenient to go up the mountain, foreigners rarely come, and it is quite high in the hearts of Japanese. Although the language is not spoken, the religious faith of the worshipers and the solemnity of the ancient temple are really felt.
