Interesting place but not much there
This is pretty challenging to get to, at least in a regular car. There is a museum which is under construction so the place will undoubtedly be improved soon. There is not much to see on the 2 miles...
The San Pedro valley where the Pichasca National Monument is, is where they found trees of 70 million years old, dinosaur and megafauna fossils, and an ancient cave where people lived up to 10000 year...

Petrified park
The hotel is a very good place to visit the city in the spring, less warm.
Perfect final for a trip to the Hurtado River
It is a beautiful place, very ordered and prepared. You have to walk tired under the strong north sun. Go prepared for it.
