A pretty park area of Samarkand - green, with a canal, worth hanging out at for a few hours. The tomb itself is nothing special.....a very long coffin, as the local belief is that Daniel's body continues to grow, so the coffin is extended every few years - I think it is currently around 20 meters.Although there is no evidence St Daniel's body is actually here, it's interesting to see pilgrims from all over the world coming to visit.
