Korea's vastly notable traditional markets,
Today, we bring you one of Korea's vastly notable traditional markets, Namdaemun Market! fi
Namdaemun Market, located at the heart of Seoul city, is filled with diverse food, shopping, and fascinating sites to fill the eye! The endless rows of shops and products have become infamous among the public. In fact, it became so widely known that people would even say, "If it's not at Namdaemun Market, it's nowhere else in Seoul!"
Namdaemun Market is also home to backstreets filled with restaurants featuring delicious traditional foods, including Kalguksu Alley and Galchijorim Alley! The former was even aired on the Netflix program, Street Food!
Take some time out of your day to come witness one of the best portrayals of Seoul infusing its traditions of the past with the modern-day lifestyle.
In 2024, I wish to visit this place again.

Definitely go to Namdaemum market to see and shop for local souvenirs. some shops are better than others. some prices may be higher but it’s one stop shopping if time is short.
I love this market. Basically it has everything and sells at cheap price. The ahjumma and ahjussi was very nice and willing to serve me anytime. They can speak English too. So It is recommended.
The price of goods is cheap and high-end. The ratio of cheap goods makes you dazzle. The place is very big. If you don’t have time to go shopping all day, you can eat while shopping. There are also shopkeepers who can speak a little Mandarin.
The Namdaemun Market is an awesome place to find souvenirs and clothes with Korean flair. I wanted the personalized hand ink name stamps but the local craftsmen were on vacation this week in Seoul n Busan😕but I found gander kerchiefs, phone accessories, small wallets with beautiful colors, hat visors etc. I could buy forever!
Nandaemun Market is the most representative traditional market in South Korea, with more than 10,000 shops large and small gathered around Nandaemun (Seoul Main Gate, formerly known as "Chongli Gate", because it lives in the south of the city, also known as "Nandaemun"). There is a perfect logistics system for retailers and consumers to supply local products, daily necessities, food, medical supplies and other supplies, and it is also a tourist attraction that is loved by domestic and foreign tourists.
There is a cold noodle shop introduced by IKKO in Another Sky. The bargaining is amazing, but it's okay to take the plunge and refuse. Hot k near the entrance is also delicious.
