    Ainu people's ship "Itao Machip"!

    Original Text

There was a large park called Maka Park on the hill on the south side of Shizunai Town, which is the central city of Shinhidaka Town. In the park, there was this facility, the Shinhidaka Town Ainu Folklore Museum. The hall is not so large, but folk tools used by Ainu people 々 in the Shizunai region were exhibited. Among them, I was particularly concerned about the wooden open-air ship "Itao Machip" that Ainu people used for trade and whale fishing. ... on such a small ship

I don't know if you're doing it or not.

    Original Text

On the hill on the left, beyond the Shizunai River from the city of Shizunai in Shinhidaka Town, there was a large park called Maka Park. This park didn't feel like it was well maintained, but it was dotted with several facilities. One of them is the Shinhidaka Town Ainu Folk Museum. When I went to the entrance, it wasn't open, so when I tried to go back, I was asked, "Do you want to enter?" I can't help but force you to enter during the closing time, so ...

It is an Ainu folk museum in Shinka Park. It's a small and small structure, but it was good that small children could see it without getting tired of it. The contents of the exhibition are easy to understand for children, and it is highly recommended for families with children. It was free and the staff were very kind.

    Good!

    Original Text

It is an Ainu folk museum in Shinhidaka Town. The hall is very small and you can see it in 5 or 10 minutes, but the Ainu ships on display in the center are very interesting and the exhibitions of other Ainu culture were quite good. Although it is a small wooden ship, it is only fixed with a frame of wood and cloth, and it is fixed with a string, but I was surprised to hear the explanation that it can sail without flooding. There were also Kamui short swords, and it was a fulfilling museum.

    Original Text

I went to Shinka Park, so I stopped by the Ainu Folk Museum. Ainu folk tools and Ainu materials from the Shizunai region are on display. I was surprised at the size of the ship with a large tree hollowed out.
