I was given a gift of a 40 minute flying experience with Perry Air in a Tiger Moth, "Spirit of Pashley", by my family. On arrival at the Perry Air office I was made welcome and introduced to my flying instructor Andy who was very friendly at quickly put me at ease. After describing the procedures to be followed in the plane and while flying I was introduced to the plane and strapped in. Andy took off and climbed to 900 feet then handed the controls over to me while he shadowed my moves. I flew the plane for around twenty minutes under Andy's directions before he took back the controls to land. I found the whole experience amazing and could not believe what I had achieved on my first ever hands on flight. Andy was an excellent instructor with thousands of hours experience behind him; his friendly manner and calm directions made the whole flight a memory to cherish.
