Not too different from other river mouths ...
The Mondego river mouth is not too different from other river mouths, what seems to make it unique is the little former fishing boat harbour now turned into yacht and slightly bogger boats' harbour.
The River
The city is on a river and you can see it from many vantage points in the upper city where the University lies. Some bridges and the hills beyond.
Nothing special
Just another river entering the Atlantic. Typical commercial boats and some sightseeing boats. Would not go out of my way to visit it.
Tranquil waters cross the city.
Nothing spectacular. A few average bridges, over a moderate sized river, with seemingly clear water that offers good views.
Enjoy a boat ride
Take a trip on the Basofias boat, its worth it and you can admire both sides of the city. Its takes about an hour and you pay like 6 euros or something so, not that expensive. You have also a small ba...
