Jidaji Temple is a temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect located in the Tonouchi district, a 22-minute walk from Hankyu Sonoda Station. It is the Souji Temple of Takahashiso. According to the temple legend, Gyoki, who obtained the imperial sanction of Emperor Shomu, engraved his principal image Yakushi Nyorai on a sacred tree here and called himself Jidaji Temple. It is a historic temple. I worshiped when I took a walk around the area in June. You can freely see the precincts. There are main hall, Amida hall, bell tower, etc. The seated statue of Amida Nyorai is a Buddhist statue in the late Heian period and is a cultural property designated by the prefecture.
