Nice beach and very quite. very polite local people and delicious sea food. k went for a couple of days and it was very relaxing. Go to Shilin beach and have a delicious bbq at a beach comping with a cold beer. The bar name is Go Safari. I spend the rest of the day at the Crown Plaza Hotel a big resort in the beach. you can have direct access to the beach and there were many activity’s and chinese ktv bars. The hotel is huge with swimming pool and restaurants. the view of the sea is amazing. Closed to the hotel there are many seafood bbq where you can choose the free fish! More famous for flying kites you may of heard of Yangjiang, take a bus for 40minutes from Yangjiang City to Hailing Island and you can enjoy the sweet sea air in Guangdong. 🌊Going to the beach is great for ones health and mind - it has so many benefits for us, just listening to the sea you can feel a lot of peace. ☀️Of course a lot depends on the weather and although the weather wasn’t sunny in April, it was still great to be out enjoy the beach! 🧐The beach was somewhat littered with dead jelly fish when I visited unfortunately but I don’t imagine that is always the case! 🏊‍♀️Swimming in the sea is permitted in special areas You will find many boardwalks around the coastal areas to wonder along. You’ll even find tandem hello bikes to rent at the roadside - but don’t bet on them being in working order 😂 Tips If out walking along the coast, just be aware some public toilets were closed down! 📍Ten Miles, Silver Beach Hailing Island, Yangjiang 🚎How to get there? It’s summer in China! Woke up at 5.00am packed with photography equipment fully charged and headed to the beach just behind hotel Crowne Plaza, 5mins walking distance. Feeling the strong blowing wind during the blue hour while strolling across the beach before sunrise is really relaxing. Located 3 hours drive from Guangzhou, this Island close to Yangjiang city is very nice place to spend few days of vacation. Connected with coast with two bridges, it's very easy to come here. At the Island you can find many hotels and apartments to rent. A lot of them are pet friendly so your pets can enjoy too. In the Island city center you can find many good restaurants with tasty seafood. There is also a big golf club and range for those ones who like to play it. Few beaches with nice sand and mountain park with amazing view to the city and see are things you should visit. Getting There - from Guangzhou, I took a high speed train from south station to Yangjiang. upon arriving in Yangjiang I took a didi to the island which costed around 60 rmb for a 40 minute journey. Attractions - Upon arriving on the island you’ll be greeted by the lush coastline. The most famous one being the 10km beach. the beaches are clean and beautiful and not very crowded which makes for a peaceful trip. at night people go to the beach to set off fireworks. As long as you ask clearly before ordering, there shouldn't be any problems. The experience is to always ask more and compare prices, as bargaining is possible. Other expenses on the island seem reasonable, with boat trips costing just over ten yuan, and renting a small electric scooter for thirty yuan per day. If the scooter runs out of battery, you can exchange it for another one, and these prices can be negotiated. The main expense is food; a meal starts at around thirty to fifty yuan, and although you're on an island, seafood doesn't seem very cheap. I don't recommend buying seafood to have it processed, as the processing fees are not low, and the taste is not guaranteed to suit you. It's easy to make a mistake, and I've had an experience where the food was not to my taste at all and went to waste. Just a short walk away is the Sea Flavor Street, and the beach is within a five-minute walk. There are plenty of free parking spaces around Shaba, which is another advantage over Hailing Island. Shaba Bay has two beaches, Moon Bay and Shaba Bay. Moon Bay is convenient for swimming, close to the beach, and has a nice accommodation environment, plus it's quiet. The downside is that it's not very convenient for dining and entertainment. The other, Shaba Bay, is where most of the dining and entertainment are concentrated. If you want to swim, head towards the Ferris wheel area or go to Moon Bay, where the beaches are even nicer. To the right of the water park at Moon Bay, there are many rocks. If you move the rocks, you might find surprises in the crevices.
