Holiday Apartments in Canterbury, New Zealand

The location was excellent, just a ten-minute walk from Morry Creek. The only minor hiccup was that the motel's email had the wrong room number, so it took us a few minutes to find our room. Our suite was very spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The room was well-equipped with an electric heater and electric blankets. We also tried New Zealand's 'national dish' – the chicken pie – at the convenience store just a minute's walk away. It was delicious! Definitely don't miss it, as you won't find a pie with such great value for money anywhere else on the South Island, haha.

The room was clean and tidy. The boss and the staff were very nice. We arrived in the morning and went to the hotel to store our luggage. We happened to meet the boss (who is Chinese). We, an old couple, did not speak well, so we asked for the boss's phone number and discussed: Can you help me call a taxi when I return to the hotel in the afternoon? The boss directly said: Call me when you need me, I will pick you up, which touched me very much. When I called, the boss was actually busy, and then he came to pick us up without saying a word, sent us back to the hotel and went out to do business. I apologized and wanted to pay for the fare, but the boss refused to accept it. Their staff is also very good. After checking in, she told us about some of the surrounding dining and entertainment. We also asked some questions. She helped us find out and told us the next morning. The most home-like place to live in New Zealand, warm and comfortable. Friends who go to Kaikoura will definitely recommend this hotel. It is very convenient to the town center, intercity bus station, whale watching, and the train station (the same place as whale watching). It can be reached in 5-10 minutes. Thank you!

You can check in at Achilles Motel reception next door. There is no elevator so if you have heavy luggage you have to carry it on your own if you get assigned on the second floor. Each of the room have its own parking space. Basic kitchen equipment with utensils for a light and easy meal. Overall happy for the price and bring some bath bombs if you like soaking in a hot tub.

The hotel is located in the city centre of Christchurch. It is literally outside of the Bridge of Remembrance. The receptionists are only present during daytime. The afterhour check in is not difficult. I received a SIM card with the check in. The room is very spacious with a small kitchen. There is no breakfast on my booking but there are many cafes nearby. There are also many restaurants in the city centre. Riverside Market is very good to find international cuisine. Botanic Gardens and the Arts Centre are within walking distance.

This hotel stay was an absolute delight, offering the perfect blend of convenience, stunning views, and high-quality amenities. The location right by the waterfront was simply breathtaking, and the proximity to the whale watching center was an added bonus. While the unit was on the second floor, which required carrying our luggage upstairs, the view from the elevated position was well worth it. There was also the option of requesting a ground floor unit if stairs are a concern. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze, with clear instructions provided and a designated key return box for added convenience. Having an assigned parking space just outside the unit was also a thoughtful touch. But the true highlight of this hotel stay was the shower. The water pressure and temperature control were absolutely perfect, making for a luxurious and refreshing experience. And being able to watch the sunrise from the unit was the icing on the cake. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a tranquil, waterfront retreat with top-notch amenities and stunning views. The combination of the convenient location, well-appointed unit, and exceptional shower made this an unforgettable stay.

Like a model set for crime watch. So smoke-infused we walked inside and felt like we’d replaced someone who’d just left after staying inside for 5 years chain smoking darts. Lacking basics like milk, clean dish cloths, dish rack, etc. The bed linen and towels were clean.

A particularly perfect house, from intimate floor heating to all-available kitchen facilities, plus a 75-inch TV, is a good place to travel with friends on weekends!

5 big and 1 small family stay, the whole stay is very satisfied, 3 bathrooms are very convenient, the kitchen is fully equipped, the only dissatisfaction is that the app chooses 5 big and 1 small stay, but the order sent to the merchant is 5 big does not include children, resulting in an extra child 2 nights cost, a total of 71 knives

3Bed Room House.   Beautiful home.  Clean and tidy.  Kitchen well equipped, we got all the necessary utensils need to prepare meals.  Fast wifi.  CCTV in front door, hence you vehicle can be monitored for safety . Oh yes, need to be careful if you accidentally lock  (ie turned the  “key knob / bolt”) inside the bedroom door because there is no key available to open.  Front door using digital Yale lock.  Remember  to press * after the 4 digits. Good stay for me and my family for 2 nights.
