We really enjoyed the stay in this hotel as it has everything we need - microwave, plates, utensils, and toilet is spacious. The receiption even gave us welcome brownies! It’s so nice of them. One thing is - it would be great if there’s a plug under the work desk. There’s no plug around there, so I need to move around for charging. Maybe can resolve by plug extension, it’s not a biggy! It’s walking distance to pak n save, we did that! And next to botanic garden :)
This hotel stay was truly exceptional, offering a wonderful combination of a peaceful, quiet location and top-notch amenities. The best part was the ability to gaze up at the stars through the large windows - the perfect way to end each evening.
The check-in process was seamless, with the owner providing the password to the key box ahead of time so we could access the unit with ease. Once inside, we were impressed by the large, spacious layout and the high-quality kitchen equipment.
The added touch of having two comfortable bean bag chairs for stargazing was such a lovely and thoughtful detail. And having two bathrooms was a huge plus, especially when traveling as a family.
Overall, the combination of the quiet, scenic location, well-appointed unit, and attentive host made this one of the best hotel experiences we've had. We'd absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with exceptional stargazing opportunities. It's a hidden gem!
The place is lovely, but unfortunately the host didn’t send me instructions how to check in. We had to look for WiFi in a public place to be be able to call him. It took us a while to find it. There was no shampoo, only 2in 1. Ladies with long hair, bring your own shampoo and hair conditioner. Otherwise the place is new and comfortable.
We stayed at Hunter Hunter for 2 nights. It is conveniently located - close to Tekapo Village and also close to some walking trails . The unit was clean and had good amenities . The only downside was that if is not terribly sound proof and easy to hear the people in the next unit . Overall we had a good stay and would recommend .
The hotel is small and the facilities are complete! There is a garage for the corresponding room, but the front desk does not go to work on Saturday and Sunday. The keys will be placed in the envelope after 2 pm, very creative!

The room was lovely, everything was clean and fresh. Bed was large and very comfortable with extra bedding if needed. Bathroom was clean and had washing machine and dryer in . If I had to find fault the only thing was the lovely big window had a pattern on which ment you couldn’t see the view of the river. Would definitely stop again
My wife, Judith, stayed overnight in the Quest, a hotel we hadn't previously been aware of. I did have the opportunity to help her to settle there before I was needed elsewhere. I was very impressed with the cleanliness, service and extraordinary facilities that were provided, even down to washing powder for the washing machine and drier. The location could not have been better for our needs, nor the staff more helpful and welcoming. If anyone needs reasonably priced accommodation with a standard of service, cleanliness and facilities - explore this hotel.
The location is great, right by the sea, it's very convenient to watch the sunrise and sunset, and the scenery is great. The service staff is also very nice, the room structure is reasonable, and it is quite comfortable for a group of 3-4 people.
The bathroom is not divided into dry and wet areas. After taking a shower in our room 13, there was water everywhere on the floor. This experience is very bad and should be improved as soon as possible.
Wonderful place to stay !
Big area and useful kitchen!
Parking just outside the entrance and you can have a wonderful starry night there, even you can see the galaxy only with your eyes!

FFayreWe are couple with a 5 year old girl. We paid SGD697.85 (Singapore dollar) for staying 2 nights in this “2 bedroom apartment” as stated.
3 points here to explain the terrible experience.
1. tv remote is not working. I don’t mind the owner making excuse like “ replied customer’s message within 20mins…..” but they actually took 29mins to reply (19:10 till 19:39). In fact, they didn’t manage to change the tv remote in the end. So I stayed 2 nights without using the TV!
2.there is no clear and obvious description that this “2 bedroom apartment” is actually an adjoining unit which means when u walked into the front door then there are 2 doors link to split parts of the apartment. The problem of adjoining units are thin walls are used to split the apartment into 2 small units. When u stay in this kind of apartment, u have to endure all kind of noises from whoever staying in neighboring rooms. We had 2 days enduring guesting from the other room shouting, slamming the door, kids screaming like crazy both early in the morning and afternoon!
3. When I reflect this bad experience with trip.com customer service, this hotel responded like they have no fault at all and played with words. This attitude makes us feel like being fooled. We paid money to expect to stay in an apartment with privacy and quiet environment but indeed we had such a bad experience!
In this market, if it’s an adjoining unit, they should not charge at the rate as if it’s an entire apartment.
I’m alright that they rejected to refund the extra amount they charged. Just have to reflect the facts in the review.
Thanks.

AAiyouyongdeyunyyIt's just a stone's throw away from the seaside. You can admire the snow-capped mountains and the sea from the balcony. It's located next to the only main road in the town. It's not far from the park and supermarket. The environment is very comfortable. The room is clean and tidy. You need to go to the reception desk of the hotel next door. After taking the key, the car was parked in the corresponding parking space downstairs, but cooking seafood was not allowed in the room for fear of too much smell!

AAlexandraGreat sized room and was very handy to be able to do some washing and have a kitchenette. Location was good, close enough to city centre but not right in the middle!
We found the shower bath to be unsafe to use as a shower.. it was very high to step over, uneven to stand on and extremely slippery. My partner slipped and slightly fell which was a close call. A non slip mat would be handy in future for sure.
Other than that we were kept awake by hoons cruising loudly down the road all night, but not much the hotel can do about that so more of a side note.

玫玫萱The hotel is right by the sea, the room is in the back, and the car is parked in the parking lot of the hotel, free of charge, apartment hotel on the 1-2 floor. The navigation guide enters from the parking lot behind the hotel. The front desk is in the building by the sea. The front desk is very enthusiastic and sent a small bottle of milk for coffee.
The room is one living room and two rooms, and the bathroom is large. One room has a large bed, and the other room has 2 single beds. There is a living room with an open kitchen. The kitchen is small and has no balcony.
There are hair dryers, kettles, microwave ovens, stoves, towels, only soap, no bath products.
There were too few tables, there was no place to put things, so I had to move the round table on the balcony to use. New Zealand hotels provide free coffee and tea bags, and it feels good to drink coffee every day. Clean the dishes and stoves after they are used up, otherwise the hotel will charge a cleaning fee.
The room is fairly clean, the living room has an air conditioner with heating function, and the room can use the heater in the wardrobe. Hot foot
The commercial area, restaurants and bars are very close, you can walk there. The supermarket can be walked, but it is more convenient to drive. There is a museum opposite the supermarket. It is free. You can take a look at it from 10:30. The lighthouse is not far from the hotel, you can walk or drive, and there are free parking spaces next to the lighthouse
The hotel does not include breakfast, check out at 10 o'clock on time
AAvenJWWe had a fantastic stay at this accommodation. The location was perfect located in the town, making it easy to explore the local shops, restaurants, and attractions, yet still in a quiet and peaceful area. The place was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, which made the stay very comfortable.
The hosts were also amazing—friendly, welcoming, and always happy to offer helpful tips about the area. Their hospitality really made a difference. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
