The is called a Youth Hostel, though if you are a more mature person looking for a cheap ensuite room to stay in , then this is the place for you. If you have booked a private room you will not be experiencing any type of hostel vibe if you do not wish and will not be disturbed by groups of backpackers. Apart from check in, you will get the elevator straight to your floor view it just as a cheap hotel. If you are a backpacker looking for a cheap and convenient place to stay , then this is for you. If you are the type of backpacker who is looking for the upbeat, energetic vibe, this is not one of those places…though there are posters up related to pub crawls, activities and tours. There is a small common area in the receptions area with a small kitchen corner, some books and games. Several reviews have commented on small beds: ordinary people live in very cramped conditions in HK and furniture sizes reflect this so beds are unlikely to be comfortable for tall people as budget accommodation is unlikely to pay extra to purchase atypical bed sizes. Hong Kong is always ranked within the top 2 of the cities with high cost of living. This is a very good bargain for Hong Kong. I stayed in a private ensuite room and in the past I have paid more for less, both in HK and elsewhere. I am going to San Franscisco soon and am paying the same price for less nights and a shared bathroom.

I checked into the hotel easy to find, Haiphong Mansion, On the 13th floor right across from the MTR station. Checking in was quick and no problem even though the visa office had my passport to get a China work visa. The ladies working here are amazing, Even kindly gave advice to a very young solo traveler. For the price in Hong Kong I felt like the bed was comfortable sheets were clean and I’m happy to wake up this morning 😁☀️

I recently stayed at YHA Jockey Club Mt. Davis Youth Hostel, and it was an experience worth sharing! If you're looking for a peaceful retreat away from the city's hustle while still being within reach of all the action, this is the place to be. What I Loved: ✅ Breathtaking Views: The hostel is perched on Mt. Davis, offering panoramic views of Victoria Harbour, especially at sunrise and sunset—absolutely stunning! ✅ Affordable & Great Value: Compared to most accommodations in Hong Kong, this hostel offers great value for money, making it a budget-friendly option for travellers. ✅ Tranquil Atmosphere: Unlike hotels in the city centre, this place is surrounded by nature, perfect for those who want a relaxing stay. ✅ Friendly Staff: The hostel staff were welcoming and helpful, providing useful tips on getting around. ✅ Outdoor Common Area: There’s a nice outdoor area where you can sit back, enjoy the fresh air, and take in the views. A Few Things to Note: 🔹 Location & Transport: Since the hostel is located on a hill, getting there requires taking a shuttle bus (provided by the hostel) or a taxi. If you prefer a more adventurous route, a scenic hike up Mt. Davis is an option, of course please do it during the day time. 🔹 Basic Amenities: This is a youth hostel, so don’t expect luxury. The rooms are simple but clean, with basic beds and shared facilities. Bring your own toiletries for added comfort. 🔹 Limited Dining Options: There isn’t a restaurant on-site, so it’s best to bring your own food or plan to eat before heading up. The common kitchen is available for light meal prep. 🔹 WIFI coverage & Speed, the signal in room is very pool, I started a 10 mins YouTube video at night and cannot reach to the end after sun rise. Overall Experience: If you're an adventurer, a backpacker, or someone looking for a quiet escape with fantastic views, I highly recommend this hostel. It may not be for those seeking high-end comforts, but for nature lovers and budget-conscious travellers, it’s a hidden gem on Hong Kong Island! 🌿🏙️ Would I stay here again? Yes! Just be prepared for the location challenge, but once you get there, the views are totally worth it.

economically great for family travellers, good location as it is accessible to night market, MTR and surrounded with malls and restaurants but inside hostel is quiet and can rest peacefully.  the only comment i had is some guests still insist to smoke even there are restrictions.

Your revised review looks great! It’s clear, detailed, and captures the positive aspects of your stay. Here’s a slightly tweaked version to make it flow even more smoothly: We booked a long-term stay at K&B Hostel for two people, with a room featuring two twin beds, and we were very pleased with our experience. The room was spotless and well-maintained throughout our stay, which was a big plus. Despite the compact space, it was comfortable and met all our basic needs. A standout feature of our stay was the hospitality of Becky, the hostel owner. She was incredibly friendly and always quick to respond to any questions or requests, which made our stay that much more enjoyable. The only minor downside was the exhaust fan in the bathroom—it’s a bit noisy, but it wasn’t a huge issue for us. It was manageable and didn’t affect our overall comfort. Given the affordable price and the welcoming atmosphere, we were very satisfied with our stay. If you’re looking for a clean, budget-friendly place with a friendly host, K&B Hostel is an excellent option in Hong Kong. I’d definitely recommend it to friends and families. This version keeps all your original points but tightens up some phrasing. Let me know if you want any more tweaks!

I feel extremely lucky to have found this little gem in Hong Kong. The dorms are extremely well laid out, with plenty of space for the suitcase and personal belongings. The bedrooms and bathrooms are sparkling clean, the common areas are cosy, there's everything you need in terms of kitchen utensils, the water pressure in the showers is amazing, the rooftop is a really place to hang out in the evenings, and most of all, the host Patricia makes you feel at home. I got there solo, and after a few nights I'm leaving with a bunch of friends. This place certainly has a magical power 😊

I was so lucky to find this place, the location is superb. So many opportunities for outdoor activities within a few meters; cycling, hiking, swimming, and watersports. There is a quiet relaxed atmosphere but also plenty of shops, and international cuisine. Grey at Reception was friendly and helpful and had a lot of knowledge of the local area. It was great value for money. I will be back to stay again soon.

The price is cheap, the location is more than 100 meters away from the subway entrance, very convenient, and the sanitary conditions are good. The room is very small, without windows, but well ventilated. The service attitude is very good. It's just that there is no eye-catching sign, so it is very difficult to find.

AashandholIt’s a great location, we were able to walk absolutely everywhere. The staff are friendly. The lockers are good and the communal table spaces are great. There’s also slippers, a kettle, water filter tap and microwave/fridge. Bathrooms are make/female and are clean, good pressure and hot showers. The bedrooms are cool and have good aircon. The pods are good, but the mattresses are very thin. We stayed here for 5 days and it wasn’t very comfortable. Also, check in wasn’t very easy, it took a long time to get it to work as it didn’t seem to accept our name or booking number.

MMewiiiAs a frequent traveler to Hong Kong, I’d say this hostel is my top favorite as of the moment and we’re already planning to book again for our next year travel back to HK. Location-wise, it’s the best. Walking distance to the harbour, nearby malls like Silvercord, K11 Art Mall, Mira Mall, and Harbour City, surrounded by restaurants and fast food chains, a grocery in front, and two MTR exits (A1 with lift and escalators going up and down, and A2 with escalator going up and stairs). It is also few blocks away from Bakehouse (😆). In terms of room size for 3 pax, it’s livable and pretty spacious as compared to our room on the 9th floor last year 🤭 from the same building. We have 5 luggages - 2 carry ons and three medium check-in luggages, and yet there’s still space for the mini table and chair and we still have space to move inside the room. I love their big glass windows which give us the best view of Nathan Road. They also offer water refilling dispenser which is a big saver because bottled waters in HK are pretty expensive! Stayed here for 6 nights and got new towels everyday after the room has been cleaned, and bottled water replenishes. Rooms are clean and looks the same as advertised in the pictures. Only cons I would say is that the shower area doesn’t have a door or divider so water splashes everywhere and floor gets flooded, but still tolerable. I would also like to suggest having a microwave for food reheating. 😁 aside from that, everything you need is here. In terms of room rates, price is okay and expected for HK standard; still cheaper than booking a hotel room from known hotels in this location which would also require security deposit. As for this hostel, no need for security deposit. Thanks to Trip.com and was able to get an early bird rate for this room. For security concerns, the building has security personnels when you enter, CCTVs are working in elevators and specific areas, hostel floor is secured with passcode which can only be opened with guest keycards. Room security doors are also up-to-date or modern. I love it!! Kudos also to Filipina housekeepers for being so approachable, helpful and kind to us during our stay. While the boss is very hands on in reaching out in WeChat for any concerns and also provided guide around the area and tourist attractions. SUPER RECOMMENDED!!! Loved and enjoyed our stay. We already miss the view. See you again next year! 🩷

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at your hotel and overall, my experience was satisfactory. The location is convenient, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, which I really appreciated. The room was generally clean, but there were a few areas that could use improvement. For instance, the water pressure in the bathroom was a bit low, and the air conditioning was somewhat noisy at times, which affected my rest. I hope these aspects can be enhanced in the future. Thank you for your hospitality, and I will consider staying again.

EEmre_BasogluThe hotel was surprisingly clean! For the price, it’s worth it. Difficult to find it though, we wished the signs were clear. Make sure to get the door code to open it. From outside, it doesn’t look like a clean and safe place. However, when you are inside, the vibe is totally different. In one of the photos, I included the contact information of the owner so that you can get the door code in advance.

CCris R.Our flight from the Philippines was delayed which made us miss our train. I decided to book this hostel so my children and I can have a place to stay for one night. This hostel is located within Chungking Mansions, which we are familiar with. The price was only Php 2,000 for a family room with private bathroom. As it turned out, I have checked in the same group of accommodations before; back in July when I also missed my train when my flight from Taipei to Hong Kong was delayed. This is located on Block D/E so the elevator was not as crowded. The reception incharge that night were two South Asian guys. They were swift and clear with their directions. We had to pay additional HKD 30 which I was already aware of when I booked on Trip. I believe this is a housekeeping charge. We checked in on the 10th floor Door 7F I think and then we were given instructions to go to the 16th F of Block E where our room is. It was a clean room with bathroom. We were not given free towels though. We did not ask anymore as it takes a lot of effort to go back to reception to ask for towels. It was the space that we needed for that night. We arrived at around 9:30 p.m. and checked out around 8 a.m. so we can carry on with the next leg of our trip. I'll recommend this hostel for those who are on a budget and are looking for a place to stay within the TSIM.SHA TSUI area. To get to Chungking Mansions from the airport, just take the A21 bus. It's cheap and stops right next to Chungking Mansions along the bustling Nathan Road. You can also opt to take the Airport Express to Kowloon, then just follow the sign to Austin Station (maroon line). In Austin, take the direction going to Wu Kai Sha, one stop in East Tsim Sha Tsui and then walk to the direction of Tsim Sha Tsui. Find Exit C and then Exit C1. You can see Chungking Mansions upon exit. Cross the street and you've arrived. Hope all of these helps.
