The room is very spacious. Amenities are one of the best with everything well equipped.
The staff friendliness is highly commendable always attentive to our requirements.
We ordered room dining and breakfast over at the Spoon Restaurant was really good.
The hotel location may not have much to do around as most attractions are quite a drive away.
But overall it was a lovely stay and would definitely consider to come back.
We had a pleasant stay overall. The room was very clean, though a bit small for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety, and the rooftop café was a nice place to relax, although the food and drinks were a bit overpriced. The resort layout feels a bit compact since it’s built on terraced land. One thing we missed was the cozy, local village vibe that Tuk Tuk is known for—the atmosphere here felt a bit more generic. Still, considering the limited similar-level options in Tuk Tuk, this resort is a decent choice and I’d consider staying here again.
Is a hotel situated in between shop house. However, the hotel set up is not like a shop house hotel.
The hotel has poor soundproof, and it gets disturbed by the noise outside of the room. The room does not come with windows.
Hotel provides basic amenities. Don't expect luxury.
Hands down the best hotel in Medan!
An incredible view f the whole city 🌆 from
my 21st floor window.
Breakfast is truly awesome! 😎
I have stayed at many 5 star hotels and of them all I would say this is the best breakfast.
Every morning the chefs 🧑🍳 made me homemade French toast cooked to perfection and an amazing omelette. And there are so many severs there who brought me iced lattes, ginger teas, and countless other hand squeezed fruit juices. Extremely personal service all in exquisite Indonesian hospitality.
Also breakfast has great ale too s across many countries: Indian, Indonesian, Danish, Malaysian, American. Definitely something for every guest all in a very high quality presentation.
Shout out to Andi for personalized service and great management and Brian at the front desk with great check in service - both fast and friendly. Brian also spent a few extra minutes with me to walk me through some nice sites and restaurants in Medan. Helpful and informative!
Indeed, a very classy hotel with a great pool and only 2 minute walk to Sumatra’s best shopping mall, Deli Park.
The hotel was nice n all. Service was excellent. Very clean n centrally located. Breakfast buffet was ok, not great but not bad either. My only gripe was the towel provided. They have seen their days. Its not the quality of a 5* or even a 4* hotel. They were quite old n frailed. The other thing was...they only provide 1 pillow per bed. I have never been to any hotel, ever, that only provide 1 pillow per person. That was very unusual...It was a beautiful hotel never the less...
This was my 6th nights stay with separate subsequent bookings due to unknown situation of our mum's conditions who was in nearby hospital. Everything of this hotel was good and convenient, especially the staffs. Not using the other facilities in the hotel at all apart from sleeping and breakfast.
I recently stayed at the Samosir Cottage on Samosir Island from November 29 to December 1, 2024.
The room was spacious, a significant plus. However, the toilet area required attention, with ants present, as mentioned in previous reviews. While this was acceptable for me, it's an area for improvement.
What truly impressed me was the exceptional service from the receptionist. They clearly explained options and kindly upgraded us to a bigger room. Their helpfulness and professionalism made a significant difference in our stay.
We booked two deluxe rooms, but the first room had a smoke smell, prompting us to request a change or upgrade.
Overall, while there's room for improvement in bathroom maintenance and mattress covers, the Samosir Cottage's spacious rooms and excellent service make it a solid choice for those visiting Samosir Island.

After landing at the airport late at night, it was great to arrive safely at this hotel — you can tell it’s safe from the outset. The room itself was a bit worn, but for just one night it was alright. The reception staff were super helpful also!
The best budget hotel I have ever stayed in Medan. I was upgraded to the Executive because the price I paid for the Double Room in the Trip app, was a little bit higher, but still much lower than the real price of the Executive room.
I was in doubt for staying in this hotel since the price they provided has no breakfast, but who needs it if you can order food online.
At night, the staff will make a call to say they have a promo dinner at the restaurant.
The best room if you are staying with your partner or family, but still need to bring your laptop 😁

Mmiss banzaiSecond time I have been staying in this hotel and I totally recommend it. The staff at the reception, Mr. Rio was really friendly and professional. He arranged a shuttle bus for us for a smooth transfer the next morning to the airport. The breakfast has lots of tasty choices. Also for dinner the atmosphere at the restaurant is really nice and tropical with a nice terrasse outside by the pool. That hotel is only 10min away by free shuttle bus from the airport. The rooms are spacious and clean. I totally love it.

CChiyanzhiwuIt was beyond my expectation! There are mountains and water, the scenery is beautiful, there is a water park next to it, free tickets are given with accommodation, and there is KFC next door. I will go there again if I have the chance! Highly recommended!
VVaiStayed at Kama Hotel Medan and loved the modern, squeaky-clean vibes - definitely a fresh spot! Got upgraded to a spacious room, which was a nice surprise and much appreciated. But, holy majolie Batman! The night turned into a symphony of screaming motorbikes and zooming cars, thanks to the hipster youngsters treating the street like their personal racetrack. It’s a lively hangout zone, so pack earplugs if you’re not into the midnight Grand Prix soundtrack.
Location-wise, the is a delightful gem. A breezy 10-minute stumble from Medan train station, stone throw from the eerie charm of Tjong A Fie Mansion, and right across from Tip Top Restaurant and Bakery, where you can grab a pastry to munch while contemplating the chaos of the hipster-infested streets. Perfect spot if you enjoy your mornings with a side of historical haunt and your nights dodging motorbike mayhem. 😈
