And now we've got that out of the way - let's tell you all of the major airport train stations across the country.
London Heathrow Airport has two train lines running from Heathrow Airport to Central London. These run every 15 minutes, 7 days a week.
Heathrow Airport also has three tube stations - including Heathrow Terminal 2 & 3 Station, Heathrow Terminal 4 Station, and Heathrow Terminal 5 Station.
All stations are on the Piccadilly Line of the London Underground, providing easy access to Central London.
London Gatwick Airport has its own train station, Gatwick Airport Station, which is located in the South Terminal - there is an internal shuttle from there to get to the North Terminal.
Trains run frequently to London Victoria and London Bridge, as well as other destinations in the South of England.
Manchester Airport has its own train station - very handily known as Manchester Airport Station - which is located between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
Trains run regularly to Manchester Piccadilly, as well as other destinations in the North of England. From the South, London Euston is a direct train to Manchester Piccadilly.
London Stansted Airport has its own train station, Stansted Airport Station, which is located directly below the main terminal building.
Trains run frequently to London Liverpool Street, as well as other destinations in the East and South of England.
Edinburgh Airport does not have its own train station, but it is easily accessible by tram and other public transport.
The nearest train station to the airport is Edinburgh Gateway Station, which is located just a short bus or tram ride away - buses run every 7 minutes from the main stations in the city. Edinburgh Park is easily accessible from Glasgow and central Scotland.
Glasgow Airport does not have its own train station, but it's also easily accessible by public transport.
The nearest train station to the airport is Paisley Gilmour Street Station about a mile (1.6 km) away, or just a short bus or taxi ride away.
Birmingham Airport has its own train station, Birmingham International Station, which is located within the airport complex.
Trains run regularly to Birmingham New Street and other destinations in the West Midlands and the south of the country.
Bristol Airport does not have its own train station, but it is easily accessible by public transport.
The nearest train station to the airport is Bristol Temple Meads Station, which is just a short bus or taxi ride away - the A1 airport bus service will take you the 8 mile (13 km) journey.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport does not have its own train station, but it is easily accessible by public transport.
The nearest train station to the airport is Liverpool South Parkway Station, which is just a short bus or taxi ride away. One of the many bus services will take you the 3 mile (5 km) journey.
London Luton Airport has its own train station, Luton Airport Parkway Station, which is located just a short bus or shuttle ride away.
Trains run frequently to London St Pancras, as well as other destinations in London and the South of England.
Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport has two train stations: CDG Terminal 2 and CDG Terminal 1. The CDG Terminal 2 station is served by RER B trains that connect the airport to central Paris and other destinations, such as Gare du Nord, Chatelet-Les Halles, and Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame.
The CDG Terminal 1 station is served by the CDGVAL automated metro, which connects all three airport terminals and provides access to the RER B trains.
Frankfurt Airport has two train stations - Frankfurt Airport Regional Station and Frankfurt Airport Long-Distance Station. The Regional Station is located below Terminal 1 and is served by the S-Bahn (suburban trains) lines S8 and S9, which connect the airport to Frankfurt city centre and its surrounding areas.
The Long-Distance Station is located adjacent to Terminal 1 and is served by high-speed ICE and IC trains that connect the airport to major cities across Germany, such as Berlin and Munich.
Madrid-Barajas Airport is connected to the city centre by the Metro Line 8, which stops at Nuevos Ministerios, Colombia, and Mar de Cristal stations, among others. The train journey takes about 15-20 minutes from the airport to the city centre.
There is also Metro station Aeropuerto T4, which is served by Cercanias commuter trains that connect the airport to other destinations in Madrid and the surrounding areas.
Rome Fiumicino Airport - or Leonardo da Vinci Airport - is served by the train station Fiumicino Aeroporto, which is connected to the city centre by the Leonardo Express. This non-stop train service runs every half an hour, and it also takes about 30 minutes to reach Termini Station in central Rome.
The airport is served by local trains, which connect the airport to other destinations in Rome, such as Trastevere Station, Ostiense Station, and Tiburtina Station.
Milan Malpensa Airport is served by two train stations: Malpensa Terminal 1 and Malpensa Terminal 2. The Malpensa Terminal 1 station is served by the Malpensa Express, a non-stop train service that connects the airport to Milan city centre and other destinations, such as Milano Centrale Station and Milano Porta Garibaldi Station. The Malpensa Terminal 2 station is served by a shuttle bus that connects the airport to the Malpensa Terminal 1 station.
