Hotel Kreuzlingen am Hafen

On the surface the hotel seems nice and comfortable but that is only in appearance. It can be hot in Switzerland, even very hot (> 30°C) so you should know that air conditioning does not exist in Switzerland (read several times in my hotel searches...) and this one is no exception. not to the rule. There are no fans in the rooms either, so it quickly becomes an ordeal. There is an internal ventilation system but it is ineffective in high heat, so you have to open the windows to try to sleep at night... and it can be noisy (We had a room with a lake view, finally on the parking lot and the street I should say) Of course, the hotel is not responsible for external nuisances (young people who listen to music after midnight at the lake, maintains roads (mowing grass) at 7:00 a.m. morning, but it's good to know. Closed window is perfect. The bed is very low and the mattress is not very comfortable. The shower is excellent even if it is placed a little too close to the toilet. I remain doubtful about the local products which seem to come more from the local supermarket (not very good, just like the scrambled eggs and industrial fruit juices) Despite the nearby lake, it is to Contance that you will go, to take there have a drink and eat there, the hotel environment has nothing charming to offer. Advantage, parking is free.
Lilienberg

My wife and I are from the US and stayed at Lilienberg for three nights in mid-September. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend a stay here. We had a bright room looking out over the lake. The room was extremely clean (as was everything at Lilienberg) and the water pressure in the shower was amazing! We ate breakfast at the hotel each morning. The buffet had many high-quality options — eggs, fruit, meat and cheeses — as well as an excellent coffee machine. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant one night and had an excellent meal —- fresh local fish and vegetables and Swiss wine. Highly recommend eating on the outdoor patio. We ate at local restaurants the other two nights (walking distance) and enjoyed those as well. The grounds of the hotel were magnificent — well-manicured and extremely clean. Although we did not use the indoor pool, it looked beautiful. The hotel staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. While we were at the hotel on a personal trip, we saw some of the conference facilities — all looked state-of-the-art and well-maintained. Lilienberg also offered a good jumping-off point to view the area — we went to Stein am Rhein and Säntis by car. We look forward to coming back to the area and staying at Lilienberg.
Kreuzlingen Youth Hostel

Top location for excursions with the Velo direction Constanz, stone on the Rhine or simply to the Hornli Badi. Jugi is a few minutes from the ground lake, also to foot well accessible. Personal is friendly and premature. Delightful breakfast buffet. Parking over the weekend free. Canu rental and barbecue on site.

We booked the hotel with a joke of Swiss vouchers because we wanted to explore the ground lake with the bike. The price was higher than the voucher indicated, but we knew it before. We didn't expect much from the hotel, but was worse than worse than worse than feared. Location is directly on the street next to a tanker. At arrival we parked behind the house and the baggage was then carried through the kitchen... The room facility has come very in the years. The mattress was completely permeated. The location directly to the circular road was not to think of sleep, as the balcony doors had to remain open because of the lack of air conditioning. The refrigerator door was open, absolutely required and then could only be closed with much emphasis. The food in the pizzeria was simple, but it tasted for us. Also, no much can be expected from breakfast, but the coffee is good. Unfortunately, there are very many flights. According to the description, secured settings for bicycles and motorcycles should also be available. We have not been able to discover... What is not possible at all: - The description states that parking is available for free. However, we were calculated for 10 - € per day. Demand failed. - In the reservation, CHF is 2.50 curtax per person and day. This amount is also on the side of the tourism authority. However, we have been calculated the double amount. Result: We will avoid the hotel in the future. How this house can get 4 stars is a mystery!
