Stayed for a weekend while visiting the area. Really great hotel. Rooms are modern and comfy. Breakfast was very tasty and great selection. Staff friendly. 10 minutes walk to the metro station to get into Newcastle or to the airport. Toby carvery next door for a nice meal. Shops and supermarkets as well as the usual fast foods a couple of minutes walk. Highly recommended.

Decor is very dated but good condition. Location is not quite near the city center , 20 quid taxi ride or 20 minute walk to metro. Definately needed a pre visit inspection would have seen big collection of insects on windows No hot water in shower , maybe us not knowing how it operates

I arrived a day early due to the wrong flight, so I booked this inn at the airport because it was the only triple room available near the airport. It took a short taxi ride to get there, the reception was very warm, the room rate of more than 300 yuan was very cheap, the shared bathroom, I don't know if I didn't adjust it well, there was no hot water, the room was relatively small, the bedding was very clean, Newcastle was a bit cold this season, the room was heated in the second half of the night. There is a supermarket near the inn.

Nice large river view room. Bathroom dated we had a problem with bath plug got stuck so had to call reception who promptly came and hit plug with large screwdriver to release it. Before the receptionist left room i tried it to ensure we could have bath and water would drain away. Plug stuck again looking at it it had several gouges in metal where it has obviously hit on numerous occasions to free it. This meant we could not have a bath and only shower because closing the plug hole it became firmly stuck. Not good enough repairs should be carried out. Shower gel top fell off and went down plug hole so we could only wash in shampoo.

Very clean, the room is large and very comfortable. The dinner is delicious, and the English breakfast is average. I came from China, so I can only say it's average. If you are tired from the journey, it is very pleasant to take a rest here.

Pleasantly surprised when I booked in. Very modern, very clean. Location was just a 5 min walk from the main station but off the main road so nice and quiet. Room was lovely and had a good nights sleep. Kitchenette was perfect, although I only made a couple of cups of teas! Reception staff all very professional and welcoming.

Frankly, the size of the room is beyond my imagination, very spacious apartment. The kitchen has everything that should be set. You can make breakfast and dinner yourself. We have one night to make our own seafood dinner. You can wash clothes. It feels like home. The facilities are old. The cleanliness of the hotel deteriorated, and the furniture and fixtures were also torn and worn out. The water closet had dirts inside on thd day when we arrived. The dirts still attached to the water closet when we left. The mattress was not In good condition, it was not flat but like a shallow basin in the middle. The bed also had problem. When you sleep on it and want to change your position and turn to the other side, the wooden part of the bed shook and create a big ”eat. eat, eat” sound. The room door of all the rooms on the fifth floor were with problem, in order to close it properly. You have to close the door with severe force and result in a big ”bang, bang” sound. This is extremely disturbing to other guests especially when this happened when they were sleeping. The hotel is old and fully utilized during the past years, it needs instant maintenance and upgrading.

very good! When I first entered, I walked to the restaurant because it was raining. She was very considerate and sent my luggage and me to the front desk. The lady at the front desk was also very approachable. Many people didn't understand me when I first arrived and the card couldn't be used. She was very considerate and gave guidance. The hygiene is good, the bedding is clean, it's a few minutes away from the airport, and the subway station is nearby, which is very convenient!

The County Hotel is better located but the Aparthotel is further away from the train station. The Aparthotel room that we stayed in was big but it was slightly older - the bed was very well used and had little support. But overall, the room was still okay, not the best.

The staff was super kind and helpful! They helped us check-in early and ALSO check-out later with no issue whatsoever! We also had an issue with the electricity in our room and, after explaining them the situation, they very promptly gave us another room so we could get ready for our event! Not only, in the end there was no need for another room because they rapidly fixed the issue! Would 100% recommend! The location was also great for both short Uber trips and short walking based on what you prefer/need!

Great location, nice little room, it's listed as an apartment but I wouldn't say it's big enough to be considered one. My only problem with the room was the cleanliness, the walls and floors had a lot of marks and dirt, same with the curtains. It made the trip slightly less comfortable. It could have also done with Aircon as it was very warm. To sum up - Pros - Great location, comfortable bed, mini kitchen with kettle, fridge and tea & coffee provided. Even some biscuits too. The price was great for a Saturday night during a big Newcastle event we spent £55 which was way cheaper than most other hotels in the area. Cons - wasn't very clean and the check in was a little awkward as our keys wouldn't work. If this was improved my rating would be a lot higher.

Check in is quite late as other hotels I’ve stayed at are around 12-2 this is 4pm, once eventually in we got to the room and wanted to get a shower which the shower head was full of limescale and when the shower is on the bath started filling with water it wasn’t draining so couldn’t get a shower as the water was horrible gathering in the bath and the shower curtain stunk! The room was ok but cleaning is definitely not the strong point, I would look at alternative hotels in the future.
